Interesting reading from a local rag to the Allenspark area. If I'm reading this correctly, noise is the overwhelming complaint...
Comments include "jihad", "chatter of automatic weapons and explosive concussions of fifty caliber weapons OFTEN highlight the fray" WTF?
In all the years I've visited the North Site, I've never seen a person firing an automatic weapon (not to say folks don't shoot full auto there, just not prevalent) or a 50 cal (maybe a handgun, certainly not a rifle on a hundred yard range).

I've been to the North Site once a week for the last three years. I have never seen a Full Auto or .50 there. I'm sure there's one there every now and again, but "OFTEN"? Not quite.

Glad to know that "Byciclists, ATV's, and Runners" safety and enjoyment trumps ours.

Two more months and I'm outta this hippie wonderland.

I have been there when there was a 50 cal and several machine guns, but why does that matter?

I couldn't care less what's up there. I was disputing the author's statement that it was common and the Sheeple do care. If the local papers make it sound like a war zone, they may be able to rally enough sheeple support to make it difficult to have a range at all. That is my point.
