WTF? Just saw one of these for sale online for 435 bucks!!! I figured it was a joke so I googled it and thats about the average price. Seriously? for a muzzle break?!?! Whats does it do so special? reduce the recoil and muzzle rise to that of a bb gun? make every shot go through one jagged hole at 500 yards?!

Seriously though, anybody know anything about these?!

Everything from KAC is rediculously overpriced. I guess its because they get a lot of government contracts so their business plan is based around the $10,000 toilet seat.

lol makes sense! I figured it was because Chris Costa blessed these or something... Im still not really finding much about them other than the same reaction im having. according to KAC KISS stands for Keep It Surreal Sucker

It's made of solid Inconel.

ETA: If you're in the market for one of these, with a legitimate interest, the cost of your gun equipment pales in comparison to your ammo. It's not significant.

Cost of materials + limited run = increased cost. Basic market economics.

I can sell you a power cord that will turn your POS stereo into a singing angel for $400. Now understand that the wire from the circuit box to the outlet cost 10 cents a foot.....

A buddy of mine has one on his sbr, unfortunately for me this is the only sbr I have shot so I don't have much to put it up against. When shooting the rifle it felt really in control, not much muzzle rise at all. But honestly I am a pretty big noob with ar's in general so who knows if it's worth it? I bet if you ask anyone who has it they will tell you how much they love it. If you send that much on something it doesn't matter how much it sucks, in your mind it's still great.

Yeah, the reason it costs so much is because Marines had to be sent 1000 LY away to another solar system to mine it, but they had to kick the locals out first...wait isn't that a movie[ROFL1]

They used to have a chrome finish on them....it wore off after a few dozen rounds, so they finish them black now...

Never fondled one or shot a weapon with one, but by all reports this is about as high speed as you can get with a break/flash suppressor. Guess I'm just not as big a spender as I once was, I'll just stick with my PWS FSC556's and Vortex's

Yeah, it's not really the advantages it gives your rifle that demand the price, it's the cost to produce...wether it's worth it or not.

And on a true working gun, one that will run a suppressor, it is worth every penny.

Unobtanium has been a word in engineering use for so long, that it really broke the fourth wall in the movie for me. Nothing will ever be named Unobtanium. That name means something which cannot be obtained. Hence the name. I wish they had given it some other name.

Yeah, I was pretty upset that they actually called the material unobtanium. Talk about insulting to the viewer.
