Marlin just sent me this link saying his foot feels a lot better and he's going to try it out in August.
Big Bear, I know you keep talking about obstacle courses and getting more exercise. Are you in? Two months is plenty of time to train. 6k is only 3.728 miles. Make sure to watch the video toward the end.
That looks pretty kick ass! If im still in CO then ill definately get into it!

That looks like a blast! May have to do it?
I just went for a run after I posted that. I huffed and puffed for a little over half the distance, at probably just over half the altitude. I wasn't really planning on doing this, but it sure would be fun. I need to get going if I'm going to get in shape for it though.

That looks totally fun. I might do it, if i live through this half of a marathon this weekend [Weight]
Which one? Good luck.
You live in Thornton. Where do you usually run? I was trying to get up to half marathon distance last summer, but I only ever made it to 7 miles in one run, which is only a little more than half the distance. Doh! I just wanted to see if I could do a 10 mile run.

I registered for the noon heat months ago.
I registered for this a few weeks ago with my bro in law and some buddies. Looks like a sweet race.

DUDE!! That does look like fun. Clearing the calendar and I guess I'll start working out... tomorrow. lol. Concert tonight.
been registered since March....see you all there
Cool Bear.
So for the people who have signed up for this year, have you done it before? I've never done an actual sanctioned race before. I never saw the point in paying to run a distance that I regularly did on my own several times a week. This however, is a little different, as my runs usually don't include running through fire and climbing nets and fences.
Here is a map of the track by the way.

To get ready for this race, I just use google maps and map out a run. This is going to be my first half marathon.
Guess I'll have to break out the bear skin cape and the viking horn cap.... Should I bring the bugle as well? ... hmmm.... lol.

Bear skin will slow you down in the mud. I'd go with deer skin. I figured just a loincloth would be sufficient givin the season (and alcohol).
I'm probably in. If someone is going up from the Springs and wants to carpool, I'm open.
I'm in the springs and would be open for that. I need to check with the wife, make sure calander's clear, and all that jazz. Sounds like a blast though... I'm wondering if I can just do the obstacles without all the running... my plastic caps (knees) just ain't the same since that stupid car wreck, lol.
I will have to make you sign a waiver before you get in my car though... There's a reason the wife refers to it as the "Death machine" and refuses to go anywhere in it! HAHAHA. But I made it to Denver the other day so it should get to the gig...
I think it is $55 if you register now, and $75 if you wait until the cut off date of August 9th. **Don't quote me on prices/cut off date!
