You're kidding me; right?!
Check out the picture on the top-right of this page, then read the guys rank and name – replace his formal first name with the usual common abbreviation.
I hope this guy slapped his parents.

President of a company I worked for right out of college was Dick Skinner..
he was an executive at Motorola at one point...
a magazine doing an article on him listed his name as Richard.. he went wanted them to print a retraction
He could be heard down the hallway while on the phone with them saying "My name is DICK!"
I went to school with someone called Mark Brown, which sounds innocuous enough, but on the register he was a Brown Mark.

I went to school with a guy named Micheal Nutts.
He went by the short name Mike. Always reminded me of the joke about having someone paged over a intercom.

I went to high school with a Richard Hertz. Parents, be really, really careful giving the name Richard. I once met a lady with the last name of Kuntz. It was really hard to keep a straight face. When I was naming my son I picked a nice sounding name that almost impossible to mess with.

I was at a Gun Show in St. Louis, MO back in 1989 (back when St. Louis still allowed Gun Shows). The show was at their Convention Center and was HUGE.
As I was walking around I heard the overhead page for Jack Mehoff. I stood still for a moment to question whether or not I had heard it correctly. I got my confirmation when I heard chuckling from all around me.
The page repeated a few minutes later and again a thrid time. I think that either someone told the person on the PA what the deal was or she finally figured it out for herself.
It made for a fun afternoon!
My best friend in grade school was named John Faggot. And no I am not joking!
I also had a classmate named Jimbob Butts.
Later on I had a friend named Tyler Neptune III
I also remember in school a Todd Buttle which when it was said fast sounded like Todd "butt hole"
