loving my SA xd 9 subcompact

got the chance to shoot my new handgun for the first time today. So far i love it. it fits my hand and is very comfortable to hold even with the shorter CCW clip.

I put 150 round of 115 gr FMJ, through it today. Nothing special, just the loads my local dealer had in stock.

this gun is smaller and much lighter than my SW 411, that i have been shooting so it took just a bit of getting used to. Found my new target window and from there it only got better,

gun has a very controllable trigger and handles the recoil very well.

150 rounds, i shot 130 or so, i let a couple of other guys at the range have a go at her, but i was able to sight in nicely and managed to put to the last 35 rounds in a five inch grouping at 35 feet or so.

very happy with it for the first time shooting it.

I recently went out and shot my buddy's brand new XD40 Subcompact. I really liked the fat trigger. Both him and I were able to shot his gun better than my S&W M&P40

the gun just fits my hand better so i think i will be a better shot with it. i was always trying to compensate with my S&W, although i will say that the M&Ps also seem to suit me.

Cool, I was looking at this gun or the M&P9 compact and I went with the M&P and I love it.

I love my XD 9SC, I got rid of one a while ago and then realized how much I enjoyed it and got another one. It fits my hand so well, sights line up fast, shoots very accurately, follow up shots are right there- man I love that pistol!

i am definitely a fan, this has fast become my weapon of choice.


I am thinking I will have to try the other models in the line up and maybe add them to the safe.

As much as I love the XD line of pistols, I was never able to become attached to the XD subcompact. I'm just not a fan of the grip size front to back, I don't hate them but the aren't my favorite subcompacts. My girlfriend on the other hand, loved the XD subcompact enough, that she was actually mad when I sold mine, and recently purchased her own with money from Uncle Sam. The XD 45 compact was and still is my favorite 45acp, I need to purchase another one soon.

I had an XD9sc and liked it. It was quit the flamethrower. :D I traded for an XD45 and liked that also. The XD9sc looks like it is making the round in the FS section but no one has made any negative comments about it yet.

It was quite reliable. My only complaint was the "short grip". Good for CC but my pinky was dangling. A full size mag and grip extension was great for shooting.

hoping to get out to the range again this week with the xd. i agree i didn't like the short grip, but it didn't seem to affect my accuracy. the rest of the gun fits well enough to make up for it.
