Our Cha-Lee (AKA: Big Panda) came in 1st M limited, 4th over all Limited in USPSA's Area 1 match last weekend. USPSA Area matches are one level below the Nationals Match, and pull the best of the best for shooters. Charlie was only beaten by three other shooters: Todd Jarrett, Ron Avery, and Blake Miguez. That is some serious company! Those in the know will understand just how impressive a feat this is, and to make it even more impressive, big panda has only been shooting competitively for about two years. [Ban3]
He video taped most of the stages. I hope he posts them for for some of you to see.
Congrats Big Panda!!!
On teh way to a GM?

M is the class he ranks in: Master. The classes are from lowest to highest; D, C, B, A, Master, Grand Master.
Limited is the Division of pistol he shot in. There are 6 Divisions based on pistol and gear: Open, Limited, Limited 10, Production, Single Stack, and Revolver. Open, Limited, and Limited 10 are the higher end race guns.

Thanks for the pat on the back guys. I am usually not one to toot my own horn about accomplishments so I feel a little self conscious about talking about it. I shot to my ability and stayed out of trouble as much as I could. This netted me a decent finish. If you want to check out my stage run video's I have listed them below..... [UZI]

Looking good Charlie. Many Congrats.
I see I trained you well.
I watched all the videos and it looks like you do a really great job controlling recoil. Your gun looks like it shoots very soft.

After watching the videos, I have one thing to say..........MUZZLE. [ROFL3]
Now, seriously, CONGRATS CHA-LEE
That is some fine shooting.
Stuart> I don't think that my gun shoots "Soft" as I am using Major Power Factor loads. I am using .40 S&W rounds with 180gr FMJ Bullet running at 945 - 950fps. This isn't self defence velocity but its not a mouse fart round either. You get more points per hit on target by shooting the "Hotter" Major Power Factor rounds so I choose to shoot them.
As for the recoil control....... Muzzle flip is for wussies so I don't let it happen [Muaha]
Nothing like watching them vids to lower your self esteem...j/k good job CHA-LEE
After shooting my first IPSC match a couple of weeks ago, it gives me even more appreciation for your accomplishment. Way to go CHA-LEE. Congratulations.
Great job!!!! Keep up the good shooting!
