I love going up the hill for camping weekends and shooting! Who else is up for this?
It is usually the wife and I that go, but she has to work this weekend and I have off. I would love to go up for a few days and do some shoothing.
Anyone up for it
we live in the woods so camping's like everday for us.

I am up for it any time. I am off Friday so I can leave Friday morning
im going camping next weekend, 9th 10th and 11th. ima head past fairplay to the national forest up there, my family and a few friends. anyone is free to join, bring your own ammo beer and meat

I have 2 boys that would love it. I would need to look at places up north here. Anyone willing to share a spot or 2? PM me...
BTW the princess thinks Motel 6 is primitive camping... [Bang] She is not a fan of camping...

Problem is this cat gives us all a bad rap...

Nat forest is 100 yards away.
If any one is up for going Friday through Sunday, shoot me a PM and we can meet up to see if we can work things out. There are some really awesome spots up between Estes Park and Allens park. It it the Johnny park and Pearson park area that I usually go to.
Pretty secluded, you will need a 4x4 to get in there though. I have a Jeep, so if we can get everything in one vehicle, I am happy to drive.

Man I wish I had the time to go camping. I haven't gone camping since I got done with Boy Scouts like 3 or 4 years ago and we went once a month.

Yeah I am sure it will be busier than normal, but the place I go is pretty secluded and pretty rough to get to, so it scares most folks off.

Wow, that had to be intersting.
Johnny park is a much smooter road than Pearson park is. I go up Pearson park.

My wife used to REFUSE to go camping. Now that we have a nice camper, she's happy to go "camping". Of course, even with the camper she let's me know she isn't into "dry" camping...she likes the full hookups type of deal.
I'd love to join you this weekend folks but one of my hunting partners just got divorced and THIS SATURDAY is when his wife has allotted him to come and get the few items the courts/lawyers are allowing him to keep (re-possess). I'll be thinking of you all whilst I am helping him to retrieve his possessions from his marital home.

As for where... that is the back of Pikes Peak in the background... Gillette Flats area.

We used to camp up by Deckers... but that has gotten busy since the 80's - or up on Pikes Peak... but that is a long hike in...

Well - I live in CS... but since dad passed - my wife and I are the only ones near enough to take care of the cabin... it is quite a bit of work for us, but we do enjoy the place.
And I get to shoot there too.
Sorry to hear that. I hope and pray you get to spend more time there. Looks like a literal "Heaven on Earth" to me.

Camping, shooting, fishing should all be done together :) You can even do them at the same time if you forget your fishing pole.
We'll be camping this weekend. I'm going to even through in a little prospecting with the metal detector and tubing along the South Platte River.
I'll camp with you'all any weekend I'm free.

I would be happy to help you out and take care of some things at the cabin for you, in return you just let me use it and sleep there!
