Are you talking about guns or cars? Try Summit Gun Broker (http://www.summitgunbroker.com/). I have never done business with this company, but I do hear good things.

I was referencing firearms, but I guess I could look at both... I'm always looking at cars. Mine is due to crap out any day now, lol.

Generally police auction to FFLs only, then when your gun store has a batch of police auction guns, you just buy from them. That's the way I understand that it most commonly happens. I could be wrong. I'd call local gun shops and ask them if they know of any coming up.

Oh yeah, and when the FFL's come to the auction, they bid on whole blocks of guns and not necessarily individual pieces.

Be careful, or you might end up with 50 g19's

I know those folks. They're just 2 towns (15 miles) over from where my folks live.

They do a LOT of LEO turn-in sales (literally have barrels of guns). The quality of the turn-ins can be hit-or-miss however, so be careful.

I'm sorry Bear, my post was about police auctioning confiscated guns. I wasn't paying attention.

No biggie Irv. I don't have the money to buy anything now anyways (and won't for a few years). I just wanted to know the "how". Thanks to all. Good info.

About two years ago at the springs show they had some of the CSPD s&W trade ins. I remember one guy picking one up and going "those SOB's" Seems that they were promised to be able to buy back there duty weapon after it had been "checked out" Guess not.... ;)
