Remington 1911 R1

Anyone have any feedback on these yet ? I think they were just recently released.

Fondled one. They look nice though I wasn't really jazzed about the big "Remington" billboard on the slide. Good looking gun for the money. It was $609 at Green Mtn Guns. I didn't have a chance to look it over really well as a guy was buying it and I didn't want to give it too much love right in front of him.

Don't recall if the trigger and MSH were plastic or metal.

That's exactly the price range they need to be in to sell lots of guns IMHO. All made in the USA, too.

Sounds nice. I've always wanted a 1911 but $1k always seemed a little steep for my purposes (or lack there of). Maybe I'll get one when I have the necessary disposable income.
