Is that a bullpup 50 or 338 in the 3rd pic of your 2nd post? Have any details on it?

Still debating whether I "need" an AR-10 type platform for LR practice even though I have a bolt gun...

FromMyColdDeadHand has a tendency to take pics of me at ackward moments or when I'm looking like a dork (not hard to do). ;)

The pics in this thread were taken by FromMyColdDeadHand and with his camera. He was running a Canon D5 MkII with L series lenses.

That last pic is interesting. It seems like one would have to take their eyes off the weld/scope in order to rack the next round.... Is that considered a "bullpup" with the mag there in the buttstock?

I'll have to admit, I like hte looks of that chasis.

Yes... Would "stock" be better terminology? Sorry, I'm working on some mapping relations for a topographic and design well of a gas extension and "chasis" was just the word that popped into my head.

Creating a solid structure to fire from which lends itself to more accurate rounds downrange.

When you're standing, there is a lot of forces causing movement. Movement comes from wind blowing you around, the inner ear adjusting equilibrium, gravity trying to pull you down, etc. By tucking the elbow into one's side and putting the weight closer to the center of the body's gravity, it creates a more stable shooting position for off hand work. Bending the wrist in that way is taking it a step further by helping to eliminate wobble from the wrist joint. (FYI, never lock your knees friend. You just might make friends with the ground that way [i.e. pass out])
