I haven't even looked at the list, but I'd like to put in a plug for the publications that came out during WWII. I grew up around probably dozens of them, many dozens. During the lean hours of living home on the range during the summers, I'd pick up Hits Count! or Improvised Munitions Handbook, or maybe a manual for tending to the needs of the aircraft lightweight version of the BMG, (waist gun). Jeeeez.

The whole era of the acrid stink of aging FMs (field manuals) and TMs (tech manuals) brings back a new respect for the innovative approach we took to teaching polite midwestern farm boys how to kill the enemy with a vengeance. Simply, quickly and effectively.

22,000 for $27?! It would take a lifetime to read all of those.
