Just got in the Battle Comp from Lt. Normandy in CA (the gun guru on Mythbusters) to T&E and I have to say that I'm impressed. Muzzle control was exactly what you expect from any compensator: the muzzle just stayed still. We could do a full auto, full mag dump with just the firing hand on our SBR's and keep all hits within a 8.5x11" piece of paper at 10 yds. Muzzle blast was minimal, even to the sides (great benefit for team movements) unlike most other comps (PWS, Surefire, etc). It has the same rings on the back as a standard A2 so Gemtech HALOs will fit as well. I'll write up more and post picts and video later...

Try it prone on a nice dry day at an outdoor range and video tape it for us. Go for the full auto full mag dump. [Tooth]

Looks pretty flat. Maybe you can find a video of one where the muzzle jumps around more for comparison?

The price on the comp isn't that bad, about $150 I believe. I'll confirm and let you know. Not too bad for a comp, about average for quality machining.

*disclaimer* Absolutely no fun was had while doing this demonstration. It was entirely work related and for sales purposes only!

That'a right, no fun whatsoever. That grin at the end is completely misleading....

I have a PWS and its kinda loud, especially for the guys to my left and right, how does this one compare for noise?

Less concussion for the shooters next to you. It's less obnoxious than the PWS with good recoil management.

That's what I wanted to hear. I think I will be trying one.

These fit the Halo now?

So these can be pinned/welded/whatever and a Gemtech Halo suppressor will fit over them? I'm just kind of confused....

NVM, found this:

Folks are actively running HALOs on the BattleComp as we speak, although neither BCE nor Gemtech recommends it. The OD of the BattleComp is .850" and the ID of the HALO is .862" -- so that 12/1000ths (6/1000ths on each side) can cause some droop if the suppressor loosens.

We are looking at several suppressor adapter designs by Winter 2010/Spring 2011: HALO, bi-lock, and a proprietary version as well.

Hope that helps!

Best,
Alan
