New to this place, so I thought I would say hello.
I have an AR-15 that I built that I am currently trying to complete. Left to finish are the scope and the gas tube roll pin. After that it's shootin time:) Always open to suggestions for good quality scopes.
I hope to get to know some of you here soon.
Have a great weekend!

Welcome [Beer]
what kind of cash are you thinking about spending on a scope?

Thanks for the response. You know, I want something with a P4 recticle and something thats not extremely outragouesly priced. This is my first rifle and I would like to get something thats going to last and thats not going to break or fall apart. I have a flat top upper, so I guess about $200 would be a good place to start. I am not opposed to spending more or less depending on what I am getting. I have seen a few that have a ton of features but are really inexpensive. Not sure as to how to determine what the quality of the glass is and the quality of the company behind the scope. Open to any suggestions.
Thanks again

So, as far as scopes... What application are you looknig to use the rifle for? Are you looking for something for a reach-out-and-touch-something (like prairie dogs?), or are you looking for more of a tactical use?
Lots of choices out there, depending on price (~$200 gets tough - especially for tactical scopes) and intended use.

Longer range (reach out and touch). I like my hand guns for up close and personal:)
I am open to any suggestions, I am not stuck on a price. I have just flip up sights now so need some sort of optic good for longer range.
