I've been trying to research if I can conceal carry at Aims community college.

The most I've found is a news article about the board changing their stance on it.

I checked all over their website and didn't find anything up to date about it.

Does anyone know?

I have tried to get info for metro/the auraria campus and they are completely ignoring the issue, won't return emails or calls. Nothing on their website, nothing on the campus police website.

RMGO needs to publish a list of which schools have specific policy that says it is OK and which schools are still trying to hold on to old ideas and not follow law etc.....

Start a new email and email them the same question. When they don't respond after a week, send another email that says, "I understand your silence to mean that concealed carry is okay. See you on Monday!"

Is it apart of the Colorado Community College system?

I think I read somewhere that they have allowed CC on all community colleges.

Eidt: Yup, they did

Might be reviving a dead thread but I did talk to the head of secruity today because I had the same question. He "advised" me it is ALLOWED with a CCW permit and to "follow the states laws." Hope this helps! If you are in doubt I just called the Greeley campus' main number and asked to speak to someone concering the weapons policy. They gave the me the head of sercuity's number.

I am also a Metro student. Check the student handbook. I am sure that I read something there about two years ago that read to the effect of..."A student caught on campus with a concealed weapon that has a permit will be escorted off campus and asked not to come back until the weapon is secured somewhere else...and a student/faculty/etc. caught on campus with a concealed weapon that does not have a permit will be charged."

Like I said it has been about two years since I read it and many things have changed since then. I was talking to another student before break and he told me that it was now allowed if you had a permit...

I will see if I can find a current student handbook with it

Is this in reference to Aims, CCCS, or Metro?

and then they wonder why there are such atrocious shootings at schools.

The criminal is the only one with a gun, maybe?
