Precision Rifle Workshop - Extreme Long Range Rifle
Sept 28th-30th, 2010- Guernsey, WY
http://www.precisionrifleworkshop.com/index.html

"Bring that .50 BMG, that 300 Win, the .338, or even that tuned 7mm Mag. and shoot out to 1500 yards. Learn about wind calls, long range ballistics and build the ultimate drop chart".
(Tuition - $650 3 days, includes on base accommodations and food! Round count - minimum 300 but feel free to bring as much as you like, we'll shoot it. Some shooters in the last course dusted off 4 cases of ammo!)

This school is geared towards the long range hunter or target shooter. There aren't going to be any fieldcraft or sniper tactics taught for those wondering. If downing an Elk at 500 yards is your goal, we can help. If getting closer to making the elusive 'mile' shot is your fancy, we can help there too. Challenge yourself and push that rifle to its limits!

Topics to be covered:

- Positional Fundamentals
- Ammo selection
- Rifle/gear Selection
- Ballistics to include calculation of a Density Altitude based
elevation adjustment chart
- Wind reading and calls
- Spotting your own hits
- Shooting 100-1000yds on paper, 300-1500 yds on steel

What about a .308 caliber rifle?

308 is just fine and quite popular with the students

If all my money wasn't going towards college, I would be building a long range rifle. How often do you do this class?

And what do butter pants look like?

Ryan right now, it's 2x a year. End of May and end of Sept.

They're real moist, if you have to know.

How's the class looking? I'm registered... can't wait.

If anyone else is going from the Denver area perhaps we can carpool... send me a PM.

MrFish, class is looking good right now. About a 2:1 student to instructor ratio so depending on how much you enjoy hearing us babble on about shooting you could get a lot of help.

I'm always stoked to hit the range for a couple of days....even if I don't do much shooting.

CoWyo from this board will be up there as an instructor as well. If you have any questions just email Neal from the PRW or PM here before you head out. My advice: bring clothing for just about any weather conditions and plenty of ammo.
