View Full Version : Burris or RRA scope mount
Need a scope mount for my AR, looks like the Burris AR-PEPR or RRA will fit my needs. Anyone have experience with either? likes/dislikes?
The PEPR mount is high enough to get the proper cheek weld for most anybody. It is a good setup. Or you could get the Burris AR risers, and use whatever rings you like.

I have a Burris with 30 mm rings with pictinny rails on top where I have a Burris fastfire redot mounted.A Burris XTR Tactical 1X4.Below is a sight tunnel where you can shoot your iron sights thru.I love the mount;except you have to break cheek weld to see red dot sight.I'm thinking about getting a right sided mount for my red dot,so I don't have to break cheek weld. The scope mount uses 1/2" head bolts, which I favor.I rate it 4 stars. But it is not a AR-PEPR;sorry for the mistake. But it is something similar, except for the forward offset. It is on for sale,at MIDWAY.

I had the RRA mount a few years ago. It was rock solid, but it didn't mount the scope far enough forward for the scope's eye relief. I don't know if they have an offset mount now, but the PEPR is offset, and will give you a lot of room to get proper eye relief.
Bought the RRA high rise scope mount, $50 plus free shipping from their site. Mounted a Redfield 2x7 and had no problems with eye relief adjustment behind an A2 stock. Will see how the mount and scope holds up as I have not used either before.
