That sucks. Larimer county (where I live) is funny. Of course I didnt get on with Greeley PD when I tried either? I doubt I will get the jail job, but it would be much better then what I have now.
I've been turned down for a few police jobs. In retrospect, it was for the better.

Hopefully I'll get on with a Department after the academy this fall! You never know you may get it. I don't any LE experience but Larimer keep me in the process quite a while.

Now, you all didn't try pulling a Tackleberry now did you? If so, that might be the reason you were passed over. Just sayin'.

I went through the 911 Dispatcher/Operator hiring in Eugene, OR many years ago. It was a hellish experience. Started with over 500 applicants taking the 1st test in a High School gym. 9 months later it was me and 3 others, they hired 1....wasn't me. Retrospect, it was better I didn't get the job.

I went to my State exams today for a position in their IT Dept.
We were told that from the thousands of resumes received, they had chosen 90 to test.
Only about 85 Showed
out of those 85 they will select 3 to interview.
1 will get the position.
Am I Lucky for being selected from the thousands to test?
Or am I naively opptimististic thinking I can actually get this job?

NEVER give up believing that YOU are the right person for the position.
Why should they pick YOU? Because YOU are the best candidate for the position!
