Hi All,

Just a quick message of encouragement to have you come on down to Sportsman's Warehouse in Colorado Springs for the Annual Chili Cook Off from 10AM - 4PM this Saturday, July 24th.

Come sample the chili and vote for your favorite (of course it'll be the Rocky Mtn Elk Foundation [RMEF] offering!) and help support our rifle raffle.

The RMEF raffle will have 2 guns:
Winchester Mdl 70 Sporter in 30-06
Savage Mdl 10XP Predator Hunter in 294 Ruger

The winning ticket will have a choice of one, we will keep the remaining gun for next year. The raffle will end on 11 Dec 10. Tickets are $5 for one, $10 for 3, $20 for 7.

I'll be there for the entire event so come on by and say hi. I'll even buy a raffle ticket for the first CO-AR15 member that stops in and says hello.
I hope to see there.

Sportsmans Warehouse in Colorado Springs is located:
555 North Chelton Road
Colorado Springs, CO 80909-5217
(719) 597-9200

If I spend $7,000 in raffle tickets, will it increase my chances to win the rifle?

We are moving into our non-roach infested and English speaking new apartment on Saturday, but I will do my best to get over there. I do like a good bowl of chili!! I'll have to leave the wallet at home though, lol.

Ginsue do you work the rifle raffle at Sportsmans frequently? I've probably talked to you a few times if so, I'm a sucker for those RMEF rifle raffles.

We're going dirtbiking on Saturday but if we're back in time I'm in for chili and raffle!

Was RMEF holding a raffle at Specialty Sports few months ago? If so I bought a few tickets for that one. I may have to make my way down there.

I really want to go, but I think we're trying to do a 14'er on Sunday and I don't think a day full of spicy chili right before mountain hiking is a great idea.

It'll make you mover faster! [Tooth] Nothing says hurry up that mountain like burnt guts.

Well, let's just say that's not how it worked out last time I tried a 14'er and I'm not trying to go 2 for 2. [Rant1]

Yes, tremendously. Come on down and drop that lump of cash!

Yes, I'm usually there about 50% of the time. While by no means a yungin', so far I've been the youngest guy working the raffle table for RMEF.

Yes, we had a couple of folks there for a couple of weekends just before out 2009 "Big Game Banquet" back in May. We usually only get to Specialty Sports just before our banquets whereas Sportsmans allows/invites us there throughout the year.
