Just finished watching the last half of this show. Was a group of people, most of them looked to be from Colorado, down at the Tac Pro school in Texas. So far they were all learning the basics and shooting pistols (Ruger SR9) for the first time. Good to see more and more shows geared towards Concealed carry and 2A being produced. Anybody else see this?

No prob! New gun related shows coming out can only be a good thing. The main thing that caught my eye, with the C&C show, is the fact that they had one of the gals that was participating in the class, tell her story of when she was assaulted and robbed in Denver. That really puts the concept of Concealed Carry, into perspective for those potential nay sayers out there. Of course there will always be those morons out there, that until it happens to them, they will be anti-gun. I just liked the fact, that not only are they teaching the fundamentals, but they are telling stories to back up why, for those that may be skeptical.

been DVR'ing these, but I quickly zip through them, very boring in my opinion. Probably good for the general non gun owning public to watch though.

Funny this got posted about today. I haven't seen the show yet, but the show has four parts to it. The CCW stuff, 'Don't be a victim, and two others I can't remember. A buddy of mine is one of the actors(unpaid) for the Don't be a victim. He showed me some of his cuts on the net today. Apparently it's filmed locally. Funny thing I think he's looking into buying his first handgun. [Coffee]

and that's for those of you in suburbia... maybe less in the inner city...
but where I live- my son managed to press 9-1-1 when he was 18 months old... I hung up the phone, no idea he called anything legit. Dispatch calls right back- I explain, they gotta send somebody out "in case it was an aborted call for help from someone else in the house"
ok, no problem... 15 minutes later the phone calls again- the sheriff's deputy needs directions.. [Bang] so I help out a little- wonder if the bad guys would be so helpful in an actual emergency [Stooge]
deputy arrives in the driveway after about 20 minutes... when I walk out to meet her, she has her hand on her sidearm when one of my dogs is defending the driveway (this dog HATES uniforms, was picked up by deputy to bring her to the pound, she'd rather die than go back, apparently) I hold her back, and the deputy enters the house, and meets the juvenile delinquent that called in the first place...
To clarify, I am NOT bashing the Sheriff dept in my county, I moved out here, and we had literally no signage from the highway to my house (not even on the hwy exit), and even GPS will get you lost going here... it's just the reality of where I live- as members of the Dodge Cummins BOMB'ing group would say: "you are now your own warranty station"
I'm already my own water company, road maintenance crew, ISP (there's a tower on my roof), so why should I expect defense to be any different?

Not where I live. The last time I called 911 at 3am for three men banging on my front door and then moving to my neighbor's house and hanging out on her unlit porch, it too the sheriffs department 28mins from the time I call.
Surprisingly, the few times I've called the police for stuff in my neighborhood (3 times) they were all there in well under 10 minutes (probably under 5 minutes), AND they came in force!

Stuart don't you live in Compton?
Well, I do live off of Federal, but it's really not as bad of an area as I thought it was. I live in a little pocket of happiness apparently. It's funny because the Safeway I shop at is pretty quiet and for the most part, low volume. The King Soopers down the street has a full time police officer and I feel like I'm going to get jumped walking through the parking lot.

Because poor people are automatically deterred by Safeway's higher prices.
You aren't worried anyway because you brought your "Boom Stick" with you.
