View Full Version : Only in Congress...
Rangel cutting a deal. So, if I rob a bank do you think I can cut a deal to get out of the charges? It's not like the mob where you cut a deal to get a bigger fish, because I doubt Obama's going to be brought down by Rangel...

If I'm reading the article correctly they're investigating the chair of the Ways and Means committee for tax fraud? How is this not a criminal matter? [Rant1]
Apparently white collar crimes don't apply to members of congress.
Crime doesn't apply to congress. There was a report several years about about how many people in the house and senate don't pay taxes or use taxpayers money to take trips, etc....
That's when I lost all faith in "the system" and peoples' integrity when propositioned with "the right way or the easy way".

Rangel's arrogance is astounding. I don't think he's too worried, though. Members of congress pretty much know they're above the law.

If you watch that video, a reporter asks him "Are you afraid of losing your job?", and Rangel basically says, "Who are you to ask such a stupid question?"
Term limits: we need them.
