First I took the family and my nephew to the grass lands tonight. They closed off some popular shooting areas? Looks like they are adding more bird watching/natural areas? Anybody know the skinny?

I put about 175 rds through my new G17 RTF2 without any failures, I also put another 100rds through my gen 4 G17 still not a failure one there either. I still have some trigger issues and like to hit left at 25yds plus for some reason, I do it with both G17's my G22's etc but I never did with my G19? I am working on that issue. My wife and nephew are pistolly challenged, but the star of the day was my 8 yr old son who had never shot a pistol before. With his winchester bolt 22 he is better then most trick shooters on tv. But he never wanted to try the pistol until today. He hit a paper plate 2 out of 4 times and the other 2 shots were oh so close! At 10 yds for an 8 yr old to shoot the G17 with normal sized back strap that well I thought was pretty darn good for his first time. Since my wife hit the plate 0/10 and my nephew 2/10.

Notice he listened, his finger is outside the trigger guard until he was ready!

Yep! We will work on stance later, safety and fun first so he stays into it. And he is very safe.

No actually he held his own. It was the first time he had shot a pistol so I was as nervous as he was, but I was also very excited. I jumped on the chance to teach him! I loaded all my mags with 1 rd each for safety (didnt want any accidental multiple shots). The first shot I held his arms so it wouldnt fly up and hit him, or drop my new gun, after that I let him do his thing. He had perfect trigger control, each shot was a surprise (wish I could learn that). The pistol jumped quite a bit but he held his own. After seeing him with his rifle and now this on his first outing if he stays with it he will be very good.

DDDUUUUDDDEE!!! It's not "just a rock"! It's kryptonite!

Unfortunatly, I left it in my backpack and someone stole it when I was hiking....
