View Full Version : A shooting war by end of Aug in the middle east??
I've heard this guy a few times on Hugh Hewitt, he sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

What do you guys think?

THE END IS NIGH! THE END IS NIGH!
This stuff has been brewing for the last 2 years, Israel didn't do such a great job in their last excursion into Lebanon and Gaza, so yeah, the rat bastards on the other side think they can take em'... but if there are chemical weapons, oh, that will go very badly for both the users and the source.

The real problem is Iran. They're supplying Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza, using Syria. Supposedly Hezbollah already has Scud missiles. The shooting at the Lebanon border came close to kicking up something big. The Gaza blockade is no big thing. It just gives the lefties something to yell about.
The real problem is Iranian nukes. The Israeli's will not allow the current loonies to have nukes. I don't blame them. They have been pretty explicit about their intentions.
The problem is what will happen if Israel hits Iran. It might blow up into a big war over there. At the very least the amount of oil coming out of there will go way down and gas prices will be insane here. Just what our messed economy needs.

I Agree. Iran has made it very clear that they are as anti-Semitic as Mel Gibson on a Binge. As far as the Blockade... I See it much in the same way I viewed Felipe coming here and telling us how to run our shit.
What better way to Suck the U.S. Into another war than with an Oil Crisis?

Hugh Hewitt is one of those who's words I take with a grain of salt, but yeah, I could see a shooting war break out in the ME at any time (and this has really been the case for the last few decades).
I think its a race to see whether war breaks out in the ME or Mexico first.

There's still many more years of posturing and shit-starting until something happens over there.
The latest anti-Israel PR stunt is now gone from memory, and I think Israel handled it better than they usually do.
I was half-expecting the Iran-backed flotilla to try and make a push past the blockade. Which, by international law, one country attempting to breach another country's blockade is considered an act of war. Unfortunately Iran isn't that dumb to sign their death certificate in that manner.
Its kind of sad that an unstable, extremist government developing nuclear arms is not considered an act of war.

Did N Korea attack us last week? They said they were going to, or are they still rowing over here. Damn and I saved some ammo from the range waiting on them to then I forgot they were coming!
N korea belongs in the middle east with all the other wack jobs!!!

I saw a comedian many years ago in NYC talking about the Middle East. He's on stage doing his thing, he says "let say the Middle East is the size of a football field....(then he removes a match-book from his pocket)....he goes on...This Match-Book is Israel....you ask the Muslims "what do you want?"......and they reply..."HALF THE MATCH-BOOK"
How about we let Israel take the gloves off and fight like we would fight if our enemy lived in the Foothills and could lob mortars, rockets, and bombs at us at any time and we can't dial in our response.
5000 year old story...not going away anytime soon

I think Israel should be able to do whatever it needs to. Just not on America's dime, unless it wants to become a real ally and aid us with more than an average of 0 soldiers in 62 years.
