Which optic -- or characteristics -- would be especially desirable on a dedicated 22LR upper (Tactical Solutions w/suppressor).
Red dot only? Dot w/magnifier?
ACOG? 1.25-x4x AccuPoint?
1.5-5x, 4x RF, 6x AO, 2-7x RF, 2.5-8x, 3-9x, etc riflescope
Something else?
Figure mostly inside 50yds, and probably max 150yds.

I used a Primary Arms red dot(it's an Aimpoint clone)for my S&W MP 15-22. I think I paid about $80 for it with mount.I didn't want to go high price for a .22 JMHO [Beer]
+1 for Primary Arms. I have their Gen2 microdot(T1 clone) on an ar-15 and it holds zero with their mount. Obviously not battle grade but great weapon grade plinker optics!
Primary Arms is a great choice. Good products for the price and great customer service.

I have a Vortex Strikefire (I think that is what it is called).
Works well.
I put a Sweet 22 by BSA on my Colt SPR, works great, shoot 50 yards turn the dail and is right on 100 yards
I use Swarovski Z6i 1-6x24 on Nordic upper. I hate crappy equipment ;)

I use either my XTR BURRIS TACTICAL 1-4X which already comes with 30 mm rings installed with the option of a BURRIS FASTFIRE REDDOT sight mounted on top of there pictinny ring.It also has an ironsight tunnel thru the mount.IT has lighted or unlighted ballistic plex redicule for a 52 grain 223 fmj out to A 1000 yds.;with adjust.red or green light or when turned off you still have black redicule.Or I use an EOTECH with the 3x magnifer.P.S. I don't reccomend the cheaper MAKO 3X maginfier.GOOD LUCK![Beer]
