“…pick up a six-pack of Colorado Native, a brew with all Colorado ingredients…”

The Name: Tenth and Blake Beer Company.* [The company] felt it was important for the new company to be connected to its core mission…”makers and merchants of great beer.” Two key facilities where they brew great beer are the Leinenkugel’s Brewery on 10th Street in Milwaukee (Leine’s is still HQ’d in Chippewa Falls, WI) and the Blue Moon Brewing Company at Sandlot on Blake Street in Denver. It’s simple, it makes sense and it is what they are. These two breweries are primary sources of many of the new company’s brews, and in the future they’ll play an even greater role in the incubation of great new beers.

* A new and independent division of MillerCoors

The Beer (portfolio of brands): In addition to making great craft brews like Blue Moon, Leinenkugel’s and Colorado Native, Tenth and Blake Beer Company is also the merchant for some very fine imports, including Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell and Grolsch, classic European lagers.

Full list of the company’s brews as of today;

Blue Moon
Leinenkugel’s
Pilsner Urquell
Peroni
Killian’s
Henry Weinhard’s
Grolsch
Tyskie
Lech
Cristal
Cusquena
Aguila
Batch 19
Kasteel Cru
Herman Joseph’s
Winterfest
Colorado Native
Brewmaster’s Special
Ski Brews
Barmen
Championship Amber Ale
Right Field Red
Slugger Stout
Power Alley ESB
Note: The beer styles and brand positioning of George Killian’s Irish Red and Henry Weinhard’s are not technically classified as import and craft brands but these beers generally resonate with “craft” consumers and fit well with the portfolio.

I like me a good brewery. I thought Coors brewed Blue Moon?

Coors does, this (and Sandlot) are shadow companies because Coors doesn't want to put their name on their decent beers.

Coors does not exist as a standalone beer company and hasn't for ~ 2 years, although the brand(s) persist. The joint-venture between Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company resulted in MillerCoors LLC after Fed approval and board acceptance & signature in 2008.

Further, the JV [or "MillerCoors"] is simply a legal corporate entity owned by two parent corporations, SABMiller plc and The Molsen Coors Brewing Company.

I'm really getting tired of these damn beer posts popping up on here lately.... I thought this was a firearms site!

If I like Newcastle, which of these beer variants would you suggest I try?

Me, I'm a total beer wuss, off the shelf light beers on the occasion I drink them (whiskey guy). I liked where Hoosier headed with that question... I've tried the "artisan" brews and never developed the taste, what's a good artisan beer for a totally plain Jane beer drinker?

Hoosier, Ranger,

From this list specifically, drawing a parallel to the product you shared, I'd suggest the following as something you may enjoy; Barmen and Leinie's Red (the seasonal Oktoberfest is always a good call as well but would be a departure from your preference). I'm presuming Kasteel Cru would suit you too but...I personally have not had the pleasure of trying it myself yet so...FWIW bucket.

If you decide to "go lighter" at any point from this particular list then Urquell is an interesting change-up in taste (their history is pretty cool) and is my favorite Pilsner of late.

While I was living in MA, the one thing I really missed was my Avalanche. I drove back here for a visit to check on my house (I rented it out) and picked up 2 cases of Avalanche. Since I don't drink much thtese days I figured 2 cases/2 years = 2 Avalanches/month until my return.

Funny thing is that I've only had about a 6 pk of Avalanche in the 5 years since I returned from MA.

I've still got 3 six-packs of that waiting for an opportunity to share it with everyone on a shoot at the South Site.
