so i have been trying to find some one to paint one of my AR-15s with a spatter/ spider webbing finish or some random style. i ended up picking up some extra stocks while i was at the national matches this year in Ohio. so i experimented with krylon with a flat black base coat than came back with a green spatter finish after playing around with the spray cans on cardboard i got the look i wanted. i finished the stocks in a couple of clear coats turned out pretty good for my first try in my opinion. this gun is my competition gun i use for high power matches. i think when i have some extra time i am going to try and do it to my other AR, but the entire gun if i can maybe somthing other than krylon.

thanks all!

yeah painting the whole gun had crossed my mind, but i didn't want to screw it up so i opted for just doing the stocks as they can be easily replaced. my other AR which is still a work in progress i am planning on painting the entire gun with a spatter and or spider web finish! once i stop adding things to it!

actually me and him have had a conversation about spider webbing and spatter finishes after i saw his work i sent him a PM about my request couple of months ago. we where trying to figure out away of applying the style to the gun with use of airgun or other means.
