Anyone have something sturdy enough for reloading, but that can easily be picked up and moved somewhere like a closet when it's not needed?

I looked at the Frankford Arsenal stand, but it looks and sounds too floppy to run everything from...

I don't have anything like that, but I've read of guys that made portable reloading benches out of Black & Decker Workmates. I'm sure one of those (or something similar) could be adapted into what you need. Maybe make a tabletop that clamps or mounts to the thing somehow.

I've heard of a lot of people doing the clamps thing. Just bolt the set up onto a board, then clamp the board to your coffee table so you can reload during Maury or whatever. That's how I'd do it...

Now that you mention it, that's how my press is mounted to my workbench in the basement. 2x6 with a couple of big C-clamps. And my workbench is a beat-up 6ft. banquet table with folding legs. Who needs fancy?

When I first started reloading I lived in a one bedroom apartment so my bench had to be moveable. I could set it up in the living room and watch tv or a movie and reload at the same time. I built mine out of 2x4s and some high quality shelving timber. Worked great, I'll see if I can find a picture to post.

This doesn't exactly qualify as portable, but it is movable.

Nice setup, but Im looking for something that could possibly be stashed in a closet or under a bed when not in use. I'm in a situation similar to OgenRwot...

Did you do a Google Images search for "portable reloading bench"? There's some good ideas.....

Shamelessly taken from another board but I like this set-up.

I have mine bolted to a board also and clamped. I use the RCBS partner press nad the powder dump is on the same board. I clamp it to the kitchen counter. It is small enough to slide under a bed or in a closet with ease. Has worked for me for 2 years now and gets used ALOT!
