View Full Version : Your chance to choose...
As we expand our civilian training curriculum, I thought I would give you guys, the potential customers, the ability to voice your opinion about it. What course/class/skill would you most like to take/learn? Please respond realistically, no unit tactics/CQB/explosive breaching/space schuttle door gunner/etc... will be offered (to civilians) to remain in compliance with DDTC and ITAR. If you want to learn that stuff, earn a badge or sign your life over to Uncle Sam (their rules guys). Also include optimal course lengths (1,2, or 3 day, or more?), and anything else you are missing from other courses. Thanks in advance.
Stay safe...
I think a one day course on multiple targets might be fun.
Some scenario such as:
1: "You're walking down an alley. Two folks appear in front of you and one pulls a knife. You turn around and start walking away at a faster clip. Another man walks out from behind a dumpster with a knife in his hand.... what do you do?"
or
2: Weak hand, bad position aiming/shooting at multiple targets... "You were jumped and knocked out. Strong hand is broken, possibly a rib too. You're on your back/side. You're weapon is on your strong side, unloaded. You only have seconds before they come back to finish the job... what do you do?"
I'd really be interested in the tactics/squad stuff.... but Uncle Sam doesn't want me and my wife won't let me get a badge! HAHA.
I don't want to side track this thread, but how is it that the government can limit what people are about to learn about?
CQB, small unit tactics, demo operations and such are considered military technology and thus fall under ITAR and are regulated by DDTC. If caught teaching to non-vetted individuals, the fine is up near $10k per student and there is NO appealing DDTC 's decision. It is also a discredit to our LE brothers to teach everyone the tactics they employ. It's not that the information is super secret, I'm sure some of it can be found with decent google skills; but it is considered military technology nontheless. It's not an area we want to cross into.
Thanks for the explanation. Don't worry, I wasn't trying to encourage you to go that direction, just curious is all.
