Airshow this weekend

The annual open house at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (formerly Jeffco Airport) is this weekend.

Looks to be bigger than ever this year, with explosions and a rocket truck (hopefully unrelated!)

When the Springs airshow is going on we just pull lawn chairs out in front of our hangar. Shade, fridge for drinks, no porta-potties- fantastic!

My wife and I just drove down Wadsworth right near the airport around 4:45pm and saw what appeared to be an F-16 (sorry can't be sure, definitely a fighter) circling then come in for a landing. It was a beautiful thing.
