Hello,

I'm looking to see if anyone has a referral for a veterinarian for my dog. He's got a lump in his neck and our normal vet does not have an ultrasound to do any further tests, so I'm just calling from a list they gave me of about 4 clinics I know NOTHING about.

I know a few of you out there have pets and I would appreciate any references of vets, specifically if you've had the unfortunate need to have an ultrasound done on them. Better if they're around Denver, but I'll pretty much go anywhere at this point to get what we need.

Thanks.

As you found out there are only a few places around denver with ultrasound. Our Vet was going to send us to Mountain Veterinary Imaging, LLC (http://go-mvi.com/index.html) for a cardiac ultrasound. Unfortunately he died before we got there of a congenital heart defect. They have offices in Loveland and Windsor.

One thing that concerns me though is the your Vet should have set up the referral and appointment. These type of clinics usually only work on referrals. Maybe you need a better primary Vet?????

Good Luck

Alameda East also does these... the cost me about 250.00 for lumps that my dog had... cancer that i had removed by my primary vet.
Sorry to hear that, I know this is tough for a member of the family

Wheatridge Animal Hospital. 3695 Kipling, I believe. They've ultrasounded our dog, and taken great care of several of our critters. Also nice, they're open 24/7 for emergencies. They have quite a few specialists, with advanced training well above an average vet.
