Casualty Care and Rescue is designed to provide all shooters and sportsman with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide life saving tactics for themselves or others. CCAR is based on the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Guidelines used by the United States Military to decrease preventable combat death at the point of wounding. In 1919 Col. H.M. Gray stated - “The hemorrhage that takes place when a main artery is divided is usually so rapid and so copious that the wounded man dies before help can reach him.” Soldiers have been dying the same way since the Civil War, TCCC was developed to stop this pattern, by utilizing the proper knowledge and correct tools to decrease preventable death.

This course is for both CCW and Non-CCW holders as it focuses on more than your gun and tactics.

Do you have a game plan if you find yourself in the middle of an Active Shooter event? There is be many things going though your head and the more you can prepare the better you will react when the situation presents itself. Active Shooter Prepared Response (ASPR) is designed to help you plan your response to these critical incidents by looking at more than your gun and tactics. We will look at past incidents and current threats to help you develop a plan for your actions. This is just that, a plan, and not every incident will present the same way so we will look at Human Factors and Asymmetric Skill Sets to help teach your body and mind how to adapt to changing conditions.

For those of you that are CCW holders, your weapon is part of your response so integrating that into your plan is vital. During class you will have the opportunity to sign up for some range time and go over the skill sets that are required for engaging the bad guy in and Active Shooter event. This will be done by RW Firearms Training (http://www.rwfirearmstraining.com/Site/Home.html). Bob is one of the best guys when it comes shooting and tactics in a high threat environment. I guarantee you will learn a lot from him (be sure to watch the "Watch Me Shoot" video on his website). This will be a 4 hour session and cost and location will be given during class.
