So, those of you with Colorado Small Game Licenses, have you obtained your HIP (Harvest Information Program) number and is it written on your license?
Did you know:
"For the first 2 seasons of the program, non-participants were given reminders and asked to call and obtain their HIP number. The phasing-in process is over and hunters who do not have a HIP number may be warned and then ticketed for non-compliance with the program. The fine is $68 and, in addition, 5 points will be assessed against your hunting privileges." (Source: http://wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/HarvestInformationProgram/)
You can either get your HIP number by calling 1-866-COLOHIP (265-6447), or by going to the CO HIP Website (https://www.colohip.com/).
The process only takes a couple of minutes but could save you from major headaches later!
