After finding them via Davidsons website, I went there last night to find a Ruger LCR (after selling two guns yesterday). Small shop, but had some decent stuff in there: some Saiga 12s, AKs, an AR or two, rail accessories, bipods, pistols, etc.

I called around a bit as well to check on prices for the LCR, and these guys had the best price. Price before tax was $389 for my shiny new Ruger LCR.

Thumbs up from me because of the prices

They have great prices online. Drove across town and they're closed. Called on the way over and "if we don't answer the phone during business hours then we are helping other customers". Nothing online, nothing on the message system and nothing on the store front saying they would be closed.

I've dropped by there twice in the past month during 'business hours' only to find them closed both times.

Not sure what to make of it, times are tough, maybe they folded?

Hi, my name is Joe, and I am the manager at Denver Guns and Ammo. Im not sure when you would have stopped by the store and it has been closed unless it was on a Friday afternoon on weekends of the Tanner gun show because we have to close early and take all of our inventory to the Denver Merchandise Mart, (we will close Friday at 3:00 those weekends). We have been working hard to increase our inventory (which has doubled in the last month) and service our customers needs to the best of our ability. We are always open 11-7 M-F and weekends by appointment and will be open 12-5 Saturdays for the holiday season, (possibly changing our hours to be open on Saturday permanently depending on store traffic except for Tanner show weekends but still by appointment on those weekends). We are stocking more and more AR stuff as well such as stripped DPMS lowers for $109, CMMG 6 pos lowers for $229, parts kits etc. We still sell all firearms and uppers for 10% over dealer cost, (in stock or special orders) and if it is not in stock we can have most items in 2-3 days. We also have new Sig Sauer classic 556's for $999.99 and classic swat 556's for $1099.99. You may call the store at 720-254-1900 or email me directly at joe@denverammo.com to check price and availability on items. We hope you will stop by and check us out! Thanks!

Ok, here's the deal - I saw this new vendor called "Denver guns and ammo" at the last gunshow, met the owner (russian guy, I'm also from russia) we talked about the guns and stuff, i told him that I'm looking for a couple of shotguns and a revolver, he said he's got a new store front in Littleton so I decided to check it up...
Anyway, me and my friend went to that store. He wanted Beretta 92 and I was going to buy a couple of shotguns.
To make the story short - there were two guys in that store the owner and his helper (don't remember his name) so this helper helped us to choose the guns and with the paperwork. They had to order the guns because they didn't have them in stock so he asked for a 20% deposit, we said ok and gave him a credit card.he came back, apologized, and said they're having problem with their credit card machine so he's not able to process it.
So I asked the owner (he was helping other customer) "could you process the card via phone?" (i said this in Russian)
him: "they don't work today"
My friend: "hm, I think they work 24/7..." And start reaching for a cash.
The owner: "IF I TOLD YOU - THEY DON'T WORK, IT MEANS THEY DON'T WORK! AND IF YOU DON'T TRUST ME YOU CAN GO AWAY!"
We didn't even know what to say! I looked at the helper (American guy) poor guy, his face was like "wtf? Why is he yelling at you guys?" We told him that we're not buying anything at there store and left. The guy was looking at his boss like "wtf? $1300 just walk out of that door!"

I'll NEVER shop there again!

Even though it's very difficult for me to write in English I wanted you guys to know about my experience with this store.

Unless, of course, they have a clientele which allows them to care nothing about people who walk in the door to buy guns.... Maybe there is a reason they don't have any guns available in the store.

I had approached them about doing their Gunsmithing for them. He was rather rude in his conversation and made a statement to the effect that he had no interest in providing repair services.
He struck me as an odd character that just wanted to make as much as he could on the front end sale and to heck with the rest.
The industry has a funny way of weeding these types out.

It's like telling me "Don't Stick yer finger in that socket, I Did it and I got Burnt."
Now if I am Dumb enough to do what you just warned me against, I Deserve what I get.

+1 also. I just bought a DPMS LR308. $1000+change. The were great, very happy with them and I will go back. Good stock of ammo, prices not great about the same as online. But like everyone, the sell out quick.

EDIT: Well didn't take long for them to change my mind. Went there last week to chat with the owner about purchasing a 1911. He asked what I wanted to spend. Told him I was coming into a little money and would go up to $1000. He was interested and we chatted awhile and told him I'd be back today.

Unfortunately I didn't get as much cash as I thought, so when I went back today I was planning on getting some ammo, mags and a less expensive pocket gun in 380 or a wheel in 357/38 for about $550 or possibly a bit less. I had $150 worth of merchandise sitting on the counter and when I mentioned that my gun purchase was not going to be the 1911 I had looked at, but one for only about half as much he sort of nodded and walked around the counter and began talking to another customer. I was still in mid sentence and was flabbergasted.

I left the stuff on the counter and walked out. Second time something like that happened since I bought my LR308.

Last dime I'll ever spend there. They obviously don't need my money.

I'll admit I don't check the reviews often but having made a purchase here today I wondered what the rep was. I'm told the store recently expanded into the space next to them and has doubled in size so they must be doing something right. Went here for the first time a month ago, today was my 3rd visit.

Usually two folks working, the Russian(owner?) and someone else. They have a great selection of Sig and I played with some 220s last time I was there. Went in today to buy. Spent a good 7-10 minutes focused on a case on specific gun and got no assistance. Now I'm in sales and get the balance of "can I help you" the second you walk in the door vs letting you get comfortable and they were on the long side of keeping me waiting. Granted there were two other customers making purchases but a quick hello would be ok. Finally had to hang out at the main counter to get some help.

I knew what I wanted and things were fine from there out. Paperwork done quickly, the owner rang me up and I was on my way.

Prices seem a bit lower than the ranges and big box, on par with other independents. They do have a lot of Sigs in stock and that's my thing lately so bonus.

Maybe a little rough around the edges but nothing like past experiences. Maybe they have improved, YMMV.

-1, I was heading down Wadsworth today and saw a sign for GUNS, so I had to go and check it out. Walked in, two dudes behind the counter and on guy on the consumer side of the counter and they are all just talking and BS'ing. The big russion guy makes eye contact with me and I nod my head to him in a slight greeting motion and he goes right back to talking to his buddy. Well right off the bat I dont like this place. I walked around for a few minutes and looked at all of their over priced accessories walked towards the counter, where the three guys were still talking it up, just to see what else was in the store and again the rude Russian guy looks right at me and just as fast looks away and talks to his buddy again. I took an IMMEDIATE right turn and walked out the door.

Never a single word was said to me, not even a single head nod, or a "hello". Nada, zip, zero.

I will NEVER go back to this place again. There is nothing I dislike more than being ignored when walking into a retail store.

I will stick with Ark Tactical whick is a MUCH better store with far more friendly and helpful staff.

I met a guy there to do an trade and paperwork a couple weeks ago. My experience was excellent. The guys, both the owner and the helper were very friendly. The prices were pretty darn good for a brick and mortar. Better than the box stores. They had complete Spikes lowers for like 279.99. They had a pretty good selection of handguns and rifles...
They had a good selection of .223, 308, and 7.62 ammo. They had fully processed once-fired military .223 brass which I wasn't finding for anywhere online or otherwise for a reasonable price...

As a matter of fact, I tried to use my credit card, but it had split and they couldn't run it. I told the owner, I'd be right back just going to run over to an ATM.. He didn't take any issue and basically said no problem. Came back a few minutes later and we completed the sale…

So, no issues...

^^^^ This! My experience exactly! I have never made it in there until a few weeks ago. I live about 15 min away so I figured I better stop by and take a look. I walked in and didnt get a hello or a nod from three different dudes in there! One guy looked up at me and went right back to what ever he was doing. I looked around for maybe a minute (I will say they had a pretty big inventory) and turned around and left........never to return! Not a place I would want to give my hard earned money to.

I just bought a consignment Remington 700. No issues, the owner was pretty nice. He did yell at a guy for looking at guns because he had wasted a bunch of his time and then backed out on a purchase. He said he had to fill out a BGC before he would let him look at anymore items.

As a customer thats bullshit...
As a business owner, it makes sense.

Maybe it's because I'm in sales and hate being bothered when I'm just shopping but I really don't mind this store. Yeah I'm not going to hang out and shoot the shit like at Noah's but the Russian has always been hospitable. Most times when I walk in I know what I want, if they have if I buy if. The few times I've needed education on something they have gave me the information I wanted. I also like they have rifles accessible without having to ask for someone to pull from behind counter.

My 2 cents. YMMV.

I finally went with a friend and thought I'd give my opinion. The store is a mess with gun related items and ammo randomly placed throughout the store. The "Russian guy" was helping another customer who appeared to be a repeat customer. Some lady behind the counter was customer service oriented. I won't purposely avoid the store from now on but I also don't see a reason to rush back there next weekend.

They have strategic product placement, you have to look through the whole shop to find what you are looking for, therefore increasing the chance for impulse purchases on items you weren't actually interested in.......
