View Full Version : Trigger job on a SW9VE
Factory setting is said to be 10 to 12 pound trigger pull, I'd like to get mine worked down to 5 or 6 pounds...anybody got advice?

I've seen a youtube video on how to do this exact change. Disassemble and remove one of two springs if I remember correctly. Looks easy enough if you're comfortable doing it.
Baddog,
I went through the same exercise with my Sigma in '06.
Due to the design you could make it go bang reliably or lighten the trigger, but not both!! I liked everything about the pistol except the trigger and figured I could fix that. Somebody got a very nice package deal when I sold gun, leather and 8 mags.
So unless something has changed since then you will be chasing your tale on this one.

As far as actual pull weight goes, there is little you can do unless you are willing to sacrifice reliability. What I did with mine was remove all of the trigger parts and polish them until they looked like chrome and gave them a light coat of Tetra gun grease. I was rather happy with the results. Was still heavy compared to most striker-fired handguns but was very smooth with no gritty feel and no snags.

I found a spring kit a while back online that gave you a better pull and was still reliable.
