I got one heavy on my mind.....
I see them all the time at the Thornton Gander Mountain. Usually two at a time actually...

Prior P7M8/M10 owner. Great guns but too valuable for daily carry for me.
M8 and M13 owner. Andy talked me into getting one long ago. Dont regret it a bit.
Awesome little gun. Incredibly accurate. Scary accurate actually.
It's been on my list of things to get ever since it saved the life of a gunshop owner in Indy. The thugs didn't know how to operate it, he pulled a .357 from beneath the restroom sink where they'd taken him to be shot with his own H&K. Plugged them both, justified defense shooting, was cleared of all charges.

I haved owned several P7's and a P7M8. They are accurate, but not significantly more than most Sigs and a couple Beretta 92s I owned. The trigger and safety "interact" such that the end of the trigger pull moves the safety lever (frontstrap) just a tad, which I found annoying. The biggest problem for me was that they get too hot for range shooting--even using them in rotation with another pistol or two. They are also a bit heavy for carry given that they are a single stack 9. Lastly, its not the gun you want to clear the house with after a bump in the night, as the safety clicking and unclicking is a bit of a tell that you are around the corner. The nice things about the pistol are its cool design, nice feel, good accuracy, quality of manufacture, and cool factor. In the end, those were not enough for me to keep mine. I had to buy them about 5 times over 10 years to get it through my head that they are not for me.
I keep using them as a standard to judge all others....lots of other pistols have come and gone but I really love my P7 most! Accuracy, reliability, control, and uniqueness- all tops. As with most anything, after a fair bit of range time and familiarity- they really come into their own.
I do wish they cocked more quietly as kpp80202 mentions....
My psp gets soooo hot after a few mags worth that even through gloves it gets your attention.
If they made one in 10mm with a threaded barrel....I would never have to look at another gun forum/classified section/auction site again! well, ok, maybe a little.
Can you shoot it while wearing silicone over mitts?
I just appreciate the unique mechanical design.
Really want to get one with a chrome finish on the slide and wood grips, yes I know there is one for sale like that but I don't "need" another one in the safe.
If only mags were easy to find...

For mags, try ak47man up in Arvada. I bought a couple at reasonable prices there a little while back.
AK47 Man is 5280 Armory in case you have trouble finding him.
I have a P7M8 and it has one of the best tiggers around, almost as nice as my Les Baer 1911. It's one of the must have on my list.

One of my EDC guns. Some people are concerned about the operating mechanism, but to me it is hold the gun tight and it is ready to shoot.
Maybe I got a bad one (PSP trade in from CDNN), but the trigger is a lot of take up, then to a bit creepy 'second stage' and has a loooong reset.
I like the lack of buttons, nothing to snag or get caught. The slide lock is a bit of a PITA. Mag changes aren't going to be fast, but for zero chance of dropping the mag, I'm willing to give it that.
Definately not a good first or second gun- or a gun to let new shooters at.

I've bought and sold quite a few guns in my life. The P7 M8 I sold years ago is the only pistol I regret selling, still think about from time to time and genuinly miss. Mine was 100% reliable and one of the most accurate handguns I have ever shot. I've kept my eye out for a replacement ever since, but only ever see the PSP models.
