Hope you all can attend this Tanner DENVER gun show this coming weekend but if you find that absolutely impossible, do keep in mind that there will be a brand new Tanner PUEBLO gun show coming up on October 9th & 10. All of these Tanner shows seem to be the best of gun shows in Colorado. IMHO
I'll probably be there this weekend...want to buy a bolt carrier, might as well try to get one locally...

left finger on trigger guard will pull you off target. Also the last thing you want to do IF you need to draw your weapon to Stop the Threat, is present them with a large target area.

Bob how will we know your table?
The gun show promoters/managers never seem to give advance notification on table locations. So, at the tanner PUEBLO SHOW, I do have two wall tables and will have some miscellaneous reloading equipment and a whole lot of brass and projectiles to sell at prices low enough that I should not have to haul any of this stuff back home with me after the show. Just look for the old fart with white hair, glasses and nasty/cranky/mean ole disposition. That'll be me.[Tooth]
Oh yeah, bring cash!

She didn't tell you that you are going candle and shoe shopping afterwards!
Beware

Well that sure narrows it down.

Yeah, probably narrows it down to about 100 guys or so.
I normally have a little sign on my table which contains an image of an FN FAL (rifle) and the name "BLASTER". That should help. Of course looking around for the table with the most reasonably priced stuff will also be a good indication of my location.

Actually the candle and shoe shopping is why she's going, they can do it all at Tanner!

is that jerky then jewelry or jewelry then jerky? just wondering ya know...
Show wasn't terrible today. All I bought, though was an apparently broken RCBS scale :p
I've not been in a few months. Seemed to be pretty crowded. Lots of vendors.
I found some decent ammo prices for 'new'. I found a couple good prices on a couple firearms I was interested in.
Overall a decent experience...

I must be in a pissy mood today, because the two guys I spoke to were complete jerks. I don't know if it was me or them, but that did it for me for awhile. No more going to the show just to see if there was something I couldn't live without. I'll order online.

My guess . . . . it probably wasn't you. I haven't been to a local gun show for almost 2 years due to the fact that people seem to be extra jerky and leave their manners at the door.
Totally not worth it.
SCORE for me at the show today. Colt 1851 unfired. Fellow was walking and trying to sell it. Says it was his late fathers and he knew nothing of it. They retail around $675 and I paid nothing close. Guess I'll keep going, but the deals are sure far and few.
So in the box for the broken scale, I found 4 rounds of 45-70 hollowpoints :D
Also forgot I got a couple of those $0 bills :)

Both vendors were regulars to the gun shows. I've spoken to them before and haven't had any positive experiences, but today, even my wife commented on how they acted like asses.
I guess I'm under the belief that if you are paying for a table or two and have goods and guns on those tables, you might actually be interested in selling said goods and guns. You can't expect them to be purchased if you put unreasonable prices on said goods and guns and get into pissing contests with people who have cash in their pockets and are willing to pay a reasonable price. Sorry, your beater SKS with mis-matched numbers, a build up of rust in the chamber and barrel, broken wood and absolutely no bluing on any of the metal AT ALL isn't in Very Good or Good condition and isn't worth what you were asking. This particular vendor has schlepped this rifle to 3 shows that I've seen it at and isn't willing to consider lesser amounts.
Argh! I'm getting irritated again just thinking about it.

One vendor had great prices on primers though, $25 1k. Was glad to find that. Another had great prices on powder, picked up some more of that too. $19-22 per pounds depending on type.

On the rare occasions when I do have a table at a gun show attempting to sell off something, I sure hope I never give the appearance of being an ass hole/turd head. If I do give those vibes, I hope someone will politely suggest that I try to be a little more diplomatic. Of course there are usually some crackpots over in the aisle sides of the tables too. Normally most "gun guys" are pretty decent folks and don't even have to make any effort to be friendly. Let's see how this works out at the Tanner PUEBLO show next month.[Beer]

I just got back from the show. The prices are much better compare to few shows ago IMO. I had to run back to the ATM twice and hit my daily cash limit [Coffee].

Not an overly bad show compared to some lately. Prices seemed halfway decent, not an abundance of black rifles but a lot of old lever action cowboy type stuff. Saw some cool old fruntstuffers (muzzleloaders) that might have had some neat stories behind them.
If they could only talk........

I went and picked up an ambi safety for my AR, but other than that, still nothing exciting at the show. Prices are never really any better than shops, Walmart has better ammo prices, etc, but I like to support small business owners, so I think that's why I keep going...
Anybody else see that $750 Mini-14? [ROFL2]

Really? Prices on certain table were great imo.
Toward the back, they have a tableful of brand new Colt AR15 uppers in the $400s. I picked up a new RRA BCG for $100, AR pistol upper for $300, and a bunch of mags. I was trying to buy a brand new surefire m982 for $200!! The kit includes IR and beam filters. Best price I found online is anywhere between $300-500. Too bad.. i hit daily my ATM daily limit and the vendor didn't accept credit card!
It was a great show for me. I sold a bunch of guns and small stuff that I wanted to get rid of. I bought a few new guns and some stuff I needed and came back with a pocketfull of cash.
It was a great show.
The only thing I was looking for and didnt find was a retro 20" upper.
But, I had good prices on my guns and they sold like crazy. We even sold a Fulton Armory M1a for $2500

I hate the ones that feel you are obligated to shut the fuck up and hand over ALL of your cash for some stupid trinket and then move along.
yet another reason I just couldn't bring myself to go Yesterday

Although I rarely have a table at gun shows to sell off some of my stuff, I never make anyone feel obligated to buy anything off my table. Of course you gotta remember that someone may be waiting at the table to actually buy something or ask a question about something on the table but they can't even get close due to some ratchet jaw babbling away. Takes all kinds and you have to have a lot of patience in dealing with folks on both sides of the tables at gun shows.

I gotta say these shows are turning into a joke. Take this for example, I was looking for a beretta px4 in 40 s&w and the cheapest one I could find was $520.00. I went to sportmans warehouse and they had them for $489.00. I saw numerous tables selling pmc 223 ammo for $8.00 a box and sportmans had it for $6.79. seems like the only pistols you could find were xd's and xdm's and they were all overpriced. And like previously stated there was an abundance of attitude. I don't know if these guys price high for bargining reasons or what but I don't wanna talk someone down on there goods. One plus is the Black rain ordnance receivers with the skull patterns. those were cool and reasonably priced. I even asked one guy about a walther pk380 that was a little to high if he would sell me the pistol at the price he was asking out the door with cash and he basically blew me off. Were talking like $10.00[Rant1] looks like I'll keep buying from gunbroker where I know I can get a good deal!

If I go to the gunshow and a guy has something I want(need) and he wants $50 for it and I tell him I only have $40 cash on me and he says sorry no big deal. If you have ever been overseas then you know haggling is a part of there culture.
Chances are I really have a $100 plus in my pockets scattered around in smaller increments!!!!
Like my brother told me, "You can be spending $40 tonight or thinking about the $40 you coulda had".
