I have never thought I had missed out on anything before, until today. I should have got one sooner. It was one of the most accurate guns i've ever shot. Hows the Glock 20? Thinking ahead now.
You talking about the 1911 style 10mm right?

Its a Colt Delta Elite
The Colt Delta Elite 10mm is a fine firearm. I have a very early blued model and a newer stainless. Nice shooters, no safe queens here.

Reviving this thread to see how you still feel about the Deltas? What kind of round count are you now on and hows the gun holding up?
Years ago I read where Colt claimed the service life was only something like 3k rds of 10mm. May sound like a lot, but not much IMO for what you pay.
A 1911 10mm is on my short list.
I have owned a G20 and a Colt Delta and in my opinion they are not even close. I like the G20 as it is one of the only Glocks I do like, but it cannot compare to a 1911 in 10mm. I think the Colt is very accurate and fun to shoot, the G20 is pretty fun to shoot as well, you cant go wrong with 15 rds of 10mm.
...you cant go wrong with 15 rds of 10mm.
15 isn't quite enough for me...

I've never shot one of the Colts. I bet they are nice.

I have one of each; and as much as I like my G20 it doesn't compare to my Gold Cup Delta Elite.

Is the Delta the best 10mm 1911 style out there? What are the other top contenders?

EAA Witness (CZ clone) in 10mm, if you can find one, was a very good gun.
Got a Delta this week end. Ordered my normal 1911 stuff from Brownells, can't wait.

I'm surprised more manufacturers don't make 10mm pistols.
