Unfortunately had to go to St. Anthonys Hospital to see a family member in ER - many signs about no weapons, no firearms, THIS INCLUDES LICENSED WEAPONS i believe it said specifically. All items will be confiscated and Denver PD will be contacted.

They do have screening devices to gain access to the ER area.

Even the Dr. mentioned it was a slow night for the ER - indicating no major stabbings, shootings etc.

Didn't see any armed security, just the Hospital Shared Services checking visitors to the ER.

Just an FYI to anyone here.

Allthough I'm sure they're around, I don't know of any local ER's without screening devices.

I hope they have them, they are, after all, an ER :).

St. Anthony North has a metal detector and a copper on duty as well.

last time I was at Lutheran in wheatridge, no screening at all there.

Same with St. Lukes downtown.

Dang, I'm getting all to familiar with hospitals.

No weapons at Good Samaritan in Layfayette either. Bad spelling there. Have signs and security but no screening devices.

There is more than one entrance to a hospital - Only one has detectors. . . Usually.

Personally, I prefer to walk in when I visit a hospital, if you know what I mean.

yup. Wife was in bad shape, thought she was having a heart attack on the drive home thursday evening... she drove straight to the ER.

All is good though.
