mag release button

i just put together my lower receiver together. i have a ?, on the mag release button, is the release suppose to be flush but you can feel the end with your finger or a little recessed but you can fell the hole a little with your finger?

that's how i have it. the threaded end sticks up just a tad. not much at all, but when i back out one turn it feels like the hole is too deep. i thought it being flush and maybe .010 to .020 sticking up feels better than having a hole.

i didn't know if i was the only one or if that was correct.
