View Full Version : Apologies
Apparently I hurt someone here with some comments I made in jest about some of our wonderful service people. I would like to issue a public apology.
I do sincerely apologize for hurting your feelings. It was a joke in jest. I have a dog and would feel horrible if someone shot it. I was being immature and joking around trying to have some fun. I will try to restrain myself in the future.
All our service people (LEO/MIL/Alphabets) are wonderful people and try their best to uphold our laws and serve and protect its' citizenery. I have the utmost respect for those people and they are my "everyday hero's".
If I jest, please don't take it personally. However, I doubt I will jest again.
Try to enjoy the rest of the day.

It takes a man to realize when he's done something wrong, and fess up to it.
I'm not trying to be a man, or make myself look good, or get affirmation from you guys, etc.
If I was in a hole, then yes, I would have the game face on and be serious. Joking about an agent/agency is probably not the best idea when in a hole watching each others' back. However, on the internet.... If people believe or base a perception off half of the crap on the internet... I just don't know what to say. There is so much wrong in that. The agencies KNOW they do a good job. I know "spreading rumors or jokes" or anything is wrong, but if you couldn't tell that it was a joke, then I don't know what to say except lighten up. But I won't say that because then it seems as if I'm blowing you off and being an arogant ass.... I'm just a punk kid, no reason to pay me any mind. If you don't like what I say... well, sorry. Venting.
Anyways, I do apologize. I'll probably get something for that ^^^. But I do stand by it. Can't be a man if a man don't teach you, so thank you to all who confront me and tell me when I'm wrong. It is appreciated.
No need for anyone to reply. And mods may delete if deemed nessecary.

I have no idea what your apologizing for Bear but thanks for stepping up and hopefully setting the example for some others. Nuff said-you da Bear !!! [Beer]
If the ATF doesn't want to be referred as pet stompers, then maybe they shouldn't stomp pets. At least you didn't bring up the time they slammed an unarmed pregnant lady up against a wall and caused her to miss carry.
I'm sure I'll be reprimanded, but whatever.

It's hard to joke on the internet, when your words can easily be taken out of context or simply misconstrued. Anyone who knows you at all knows you're a stand-up guy, Bear. If someone got their nose out of joint, it's because they don't know you very well. Don't let it bother you.
Troublco speaks words of wisdom that I fully agree with, don't take it to hard like others have said takes a man to man up and you have done so respectfully. The way I see it the slate is clean.

Right on BigBear, but I think everyone here is a man... Take a joke for what it is...Don't want to see everyone getting bootie hurt and crap...If you get hurt over something so dumb then maybe you should look at a dress site and leave the gun one be......[Bang]

If this is over that silly dog comment in the other thread then I just lost some respect for something and it was not a bigbear.

When I First met Bigbear he struck me as a guy with a heart as big as he was.
And this is a guy that sat in my Blazer and made it look like a Mazda Miata.

Wow Byte.... thank you... Don't get confused though: I may look/act like a teddy bear but I can still maul if the need ever arises! HAHA.
Speaking of, my brother will be back in the States on the 15th, he's coming to me on the 16th and we'll probably head out to the range. He's a liberal but he likes shooting, especially clays. You're more than welcome to join us, my treat for helping with all the computer crap. (And yes, we'll have some Tannerite too)
And if you thought I made your Blazer look small. You should see me in my own car! HAHAH. Oh how I would love a nice comfy F150 or something.

Or not...
Ya know, While I applaud you being willing to apologize if you've cause the sand in someones vagina to chafe, I'm just starting to get a bit bothered by folks not taking full responsibility for themselves in these types of situations. Again not pointing this at you Bear, takes a man to apologize for something he said that might have been actually offensive.
Earlier this year I had a couple of epiphanies.
1. If you can be offended by my direct and "not so politically correct" delivery and opinions (as if you should have asked my opinion in the first place), then I can be offended at your politically correct, evasive and round about, everyone needs a frakking hug and to talk about their feelings, deliveries.
2. I am only responsible for me. I am responsible for the words I use and what I mean. I will say what I mean and mean what I say. If you are unable to stop, listen to the words I am using (and their associated definitions) in the CONTEXT I am using them, that is your problem... Not Mine!
So Bear, again, I do applaud your willingness to address what you understand to be a wrong you may have done another member of our community. I can only hope that the "offended party" takes responsibility for their portion of the issue.
Badshot, while I wholeheartedly agree in the whole manner of "if you don't like what's on TV then chang the channel," I do realize that what I said (albeit jokingly) did hold a negative conotation towards our everyday heroes. People can and do form opinions online from every nuance a person mentions. For example, using bad grammar, puncuation, ebonics, and sentence semantics all can lead to someone thinking of a urban male texting about something when in fact it could truly be a rural sixty-two year old woman.
I just wanted to try to set the record straight and apologize as I truly meant it all in jest and have no ill will/feelings towards our LEO/MIL. I apologized privately, but still stood by my off color joke. I did think it was funny. I also thought I would apologize publicly as I'm sure with all the interaction on this site there is more than just one LEO/MIL/Alphabet on here. Heck, there are a few of each in my immediate family.
Anyways, I met this person and just didn't want him/her to think that I'm some punk kid with no respect etc...
So, bottom line, even though I am of the mind of "who cares what other people think", I also try to be respectful and turn the other cheek. If I offended someone with my words and they let me know, I will stand by what I said but I will also apologize. I try to get along with (most) everyone and I will try to explain what I meant by them....

You know, I like you Bear. You are always trying to do the right thing and you go out of your way to try to not offend anyone.
I know that this threrad wasn't looking for feedback and for kudos for doing the right thing, but I've gotta tell you that you can be my wingman ANY time.
You are a good man Bear!
You might be big, and I suspect tough (you can at least take care of yourself - we've seen that), but I wholeheartedly agree with Trouble on this one - you're a teddy bear at heart (this is a good thing).
Does that mean you want to take warm showers in the middle of the night with him, or is this a don't ask don't tell kinda situation there Ginsue?

What? And you didn't say HI, I would have been happy to...er, ah.... NEVERMIND, it wasn't me. Anyone catch the Bears game?
Just giving BadShot something to use to say "I knew it".
BTW, did I mention that I'm happily married and love my wife?
Heroes shouldn't be restricted to just people who like vaginas.

Why you little....
In all seriousness, I used to have a (mostly) controlled lisp due to having a "distended frenulum" (skin connecting the tongue to the bottom of the mouth went ALL the way to the end of my tongue). The lisping wasn't the worst part. When I'd french kiss (yes, I was kissing women), the frenulum would cut across my bottom row of teeth and hurt like crazy - then for the next week it would heal - if I didn't continue kissing. I had the frenulum cut back by the USAF and had to re-teach myself to speak. When I'm REALLY tired or drunk the lisp can sometimes be noticed, but I never have to worry about cutting the frenulum on my teeth anymore.
Since when does that mean anything? The age-old art of CAMOUFLAGE.......
You do realize that I have an ID card and can hunt you down on Buckley don't you? (No, it wouldn't be an "active shooter" situation).
