She isn't singing yet but she is warming up, I think Maes is thinking about pulling out now, last week he made the comment that (not quoting here) if he fell below 20% he wouldn't be an effective candidate and pull out on the KHOW afternoon show, according to Rasmussen hes at 21% and now third behind Tancredo:

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2010/election_2010_governor_elections/colorado/election_2010_colorado_governor

Gut feelings guys? you think he pulls out or is it Hickenlooper for four years? Even if he does pull out I'm not sure Tancredo can beat Hick but I am sure now that if the shoes were on the other foot and Tancredo pulled out Maes would lose badly. If Maes does pull out it could be a pretty close race for Tancredo and Hick though..........

I'm going to vote for Tom out of spite, just to show that I won't support either the Dems or the Repubs in this election. Even though I doubt Tom is the best.

I'm beginning to wonder if many people will do that, wake up in the morning, turn on the news and say "he F'ing won?"

I like letting the inner 14yo out. [Stooge]

This is my own thought.

Maes can't pull out, he has hired family members to the campaign and the campaign is their only source of income.

They've been gone for a long time. Dan just thinks he can keep on going. Obviously the man is delusional. He made up a whole bunch of stuff on his resume. He made up a bunch of stuff about the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. He made up a bunch of stuff about his finances. He probably really believes most, if not all of it. So I'm sure he believes he's going to win this race too.

I heard on the radio that Maes bankroll is under $10,000, If thats true then his family better start looking for work!

I looked at his resume, I thought it was light for someone running for Gov. Then I find out he stuff it?

That's like dating a girl, despite her A cups only to find out she was stuffing her bra!

I guess Maes figured if O could become President with his small resume, then he would have no problem becoming Governor.

So Dan Maes has previously compared himself to Cory Voorhis, and now Maes is comparing himself to Frank Serpico? This is a link to an AP interview of Dan Maes.

He might as well be a little billionaire with big ears. He's doing the same thing to this election that H. Ross Perot did to the country in 92 and 96. I liked Perot better than Bush 1, but he cost us 8 years of Clinton. Tancredo is handing us the state equivelent of B. Hussein Obama by running.

Tancredo is polling higher than Maes and will continue to do so, I suspect Maes will be in the single digits by mid-October. Maes needs to pull out.

The Colorado GOP brought this on itself by screwing around with candidates and not vetting people thoroughly enough.

I really dislike what Tank did entering the race late in some off the wall party. But now he's running a scorched earth campaign. Calling Maes a liar.... its only helping Hickenpopper. But I'll probably end up voting for him.

You know Ronald I agree with you........but. I know theres always a but isn't there! I don't think that Tom brought this on Maes, I think had it been a two horse race just Hick and Maes this stuff (about Maes) would have come out anyway and I think everyone (hopefully) can agree on that, so that being assumed we have a badly beaten Republican candidate in November with no other choice and that I do not cherish the thought of, in fact the more this crap goes on with Maes the more I dislike him, I hope he crawls back under the rock he came from and stays there, hopefully soon so that we can rally behind Tancredo, let Tancredo's people dig into Hickenlooper and see what happens. When it all comes down to it I will stand beside the others in the gun culture long before I stand next to a politician, no matter how many times we disagree I know I am getting an honest statement from my brothers in arms, meanwhile it seems every politician talks from both sides of his head.

Completely true, but the end result is that Tank has effectively split the votes of the good guys up and made it impossible to get anyone worth a damn elected.

By the sounds of some of these posts, it appears that some would rather have someone like Maes who professes to be a conservative, but has no credentials to the matter and has some serious issues when it comes to ethics, honor and integrity JUST because he says he is a conservative.

The Republican party didn't vet him, there is no guarantee of his conservative credentials, but you call him a "good guy" only due to him being a republican.

In a two-way race, he wouldn't win because of his problems. In a three-way race with a known conservative, there may be a chance, if those who hang onto the republican flag would acknowledge that Tancredo is still a republican and does hold conservative values, but is just running in a way to be able to put someone in the office with conservative values. I would go as far to say that Tancredo changes his political party back to republican sometime after he is elected, if elected.

Irving

I was under the impression that they were talking about the conservative voters when they say the "good guys." Referring to the people who will just vote (R) down the line with zero consideration of who is representing the (R).

So I am hearing that Maes has a new campaign mangler. I've heard some not so nice things, I'll post up facts when I get them.

Maes needs to drop out NOW!

George Culpepper has added another Colorado gubernatorial campaign to his résumé: He now is working for Dan Maes.

The republican party, in Colorado, has had their head up their butt for several years. They lost because of stupid mistakes. Yea', the liberals manipulated the 527 organizations much more effectively than the repupublicans. This enabled them to funnel huge amounts of money into the campaigns. Mostly supplied by Tim Gill, Pat Stryker, Jared Polis and Rutt Bridges. However, the republicans (under Dick Wadhams) still cut their own throat by making stupid decisions. There is no one to blame but themselves. Just look at what happend with McInnis and Maes, talk about micalculation. It really is just incompetence. Tom Tancredo understands this and is making a stand. He is exactly the kind of person we want in the Governor's office. If you don't vote for Tancredo you are just handing it to Frickin' Stupor and the liberals.

don't hold your breath. Maes will remain in the race even if he was hooked up to life support.
Tom has moved within 15% of the looper and we have 1 month to go before you pull the lever. How many big name repubs do you think, when the curtain closes, are going to go with Tom?
The only issue is the democrat sleeping giant. will they turn out in numbers to maintain their choke hold on the USA, OR sit it out due to their silent disgust with O?
