i just wish the fort hood cops would have killed the mooslim extremist.
what annoys me is that the police responding to this call and the fort bliss call fired on the person. fort bliss leos killed the bad guy. but, why didnt the fort hood cops do the right thing and send the mooslim extremist to hell (i mean to his virgins)? why not kill him? he needed killin, and he still does. fort hood cops need a lesson on how to get it done I don't think the Fort Hood cops were "shooting to wound." As an LE trainer, we teach shoot to center mass or the middle of what you can see. As for the Fort Carson shooting, the responding officers made entry to a dwelling of a suicidal party, initial reports indicated the party had a weapon and terminated the encounter without injury to the responding officers. Well done guys!

i wasnt responding to the fort carson story. i was more or less going off topic to the fort hood shooting. i am not second guessing the officers at bliss, hood, or carson. i just wish the hood cops had made the bad guy dead.
needs more double and triple taps and mag dumps. nobody was going to second guess them after that.
it wasnt a traffic stop gone bad or a questionable shooting.
shoot untill you are out of ammo for the record. i just wanted the mooslim major dead. no offense to the cops.

You were not there. No reason to second guess the people that were.

hoser, i am a kind and loving person. I just wanted for the nice major to get what he wanted. i only was thinking of his best interests.
"Easy Marine... In the Army, they do things differently!"
HAHAHA.

we actually had a shooting on Camp Pendleton during my second enlistment 96 after I left ReconBnla. i went to the wing. some dirtbag gang banger got picked up for a driveby in la. he happen to be a US Marine on active duty. the CO busted his ass and sent him to leavenworth. Well another dirtbag gang banger who was in MAG 39 also decided he could get the other gang banger freed, by shooting the CO and First Sargeant. Unfortunatley the mps let him live also. I went to the police academy with some of those mps. and i have no idea why they didnt kill the dirtbag. imagine this moron thinking he could get the CO to reverse the decision and pull the gang banger out of leavenworth. WTF
I believe the rule of thumb is to take alive so they can serve justice.... but I understand and sympathize with what you're saving. I personally believe killing them would be justice served... eh, but I have no dog in this race.

You can't be serious.. if you are, you'll be best advised to STFU and keep your opinion very much to yourself. I'm going to stop right here just in case you are just being sarcastic in extremely poor taste.
....hmm... Does military use tazers? I would think it kind of defeats their ultimate purpose.... Cops yes, military I wouldn't think so.
If you're gonna be dumb enough to have the military called out on you... I don't think tazing is an appropiate tactic....
But I don't know...

so everyone can second guess everyone else. but i can not second guess a cop, because i wasnt there? first i wasnt second guessing. i was wishing death on the major, and wishing the cops bullets would have done the job.
and everyone of you who comments on a story is making a judgment about something you were probably not present for or know all the facts about, yet you still run your mouths. WTF
and in the US we second guess everyone all the time and if you say you dont...you are a liar.
If I remember correctly, the major was rushed into the hospital as one of the wounded because no one realized who he was. Hard to shoot a guy to death when your rushing him to the hospital because you think he is one of the victims.

did he get any pig parts, if he needed any tranplants? that would be funny right there. pig blood transfusion stat!
im kidding i am not second guessing the hospital staff, so no hate mail.
Doctors aren't law enforcement so it is okay to talk badly about them. ;)

This is the one non-lethal force option that I never saw trained or used in the USAF. USAF Security Forces members are trained on the proper use of pepper spray but I'm fairly certain that stun devices are still not used. With all of the other items they are required to carry on their belts I couldn't imagine where they'd put a tazer.
I hate hearing stuff like this.

I will let the PAO do their duties in divulging information. In my eyes, the responding officers did the right thing.
As for the discussion about the Major. Would you want to stand in court for months, trying to explain your actions to a military panel, knowing that you might go to jail for excessive use of force? Your name will be mud no matter what the results would be. And if you're lucky enough to get the charges dropped, no LEO will want to hire you after that.
Just my $0.02!!
