Do you guys still have your first gun you bought, and what was it?
And if you still have it would you ever sell it?

First that I had was a Ruger GP100, it was a gift and I still have it, I'll hold onto it forever.

First that I bought was a Ruger P89, sold it, wish I'd kept it, that gun was SO reliable and nice to shoot.

Glock 32 . . . bought it when everyone thought the 357 SIG was going to be more popular than the 40 S&W.

Still have it, and a 40 barrel for it . . . No gun I've ever held has fit my hand as well as the G32. My M9 was close, but the grip angle was just a tad off. Still bought a 92FS Inox for old times sake, but nothing fits my paw like that G32 . . .

20 Ga. break-open youth shotgun. Got it as a present from my dad one year, got rid of it. That thing kicked worse than ANY 12 gauge I've ever shot, probably because it weighed like 1/2 lb. Everyone who shot that gun was like "@#%# that!", it was brutal for looking like a dainty little thing.

A bolt action .22 From Gambles. No clue as to who made it. It was my Dads. As far as I can tell it's at least 70 years old and maybe, 75-80y/o. He never was sure when He got it. It still shoots reasonably straight. I plan on giving it to my Great-nephew one of these days.. Maybe Christmas..

Daisy Red Ryder BB gun. Got it for my 7th christmas. Still have it, and the woodpeckers around my house hate it! Not bad for a 26 year old air rifle.

Very first was a gift - Mom gave me a Ruger 10/22 for my 16th birthday. Still have it.

First I purchased - A Ruger P85 Mk II that I bought new in 1989 from Firing Line during their annual August Sale event. It's got about 300 rounds through it and is still in the box with the vapor barrier paper, little toy brass "Ruger" lock and everything.

The first handgun I ever bought is still in the safe, a Llama .22 auto. I would sell it, but I wouldn't wish this albatross on anyone, much less someone who might come back with a FUNCTIONAL firearm, that they might have a reasonable chance of hitting me with if the pointed it in my general direction. Besides, karma is a bitch...

The first rifle I bought was a Rossi .22 pump gallery gun(copy of a Winchester 1906).... a former friend ended up selling it when I left it at his house. I have since replaced it with a similar one.

I still have every gun I've ever owned. It's pretty easy when you started two years ago and got laid off (the first time) a few months after you bought your first gun. ;)

My first rifle my dad gave to me, it's an M1 Garand. I still have it, never will get rid of it. My first and only pistol so far is my SAI 1911 Operator. I'm not too fond of selling guns so I've kept all but one I've bought. It was a Charter target bulldog in .44 special, what a piece of crap.

My first gun was an Ithaca model 49, .22 single shot lever gun, for my 10th b-day back in the mid 70's. Got into a jam in my early twenties and pawned it. When I finally had the money to buy it back it had already sold. I ran across that same rifle at a Tanner show in 2008. A dealer from Grand Junction over for the show sold it to me for half his original asking price when I showed him the original receipt my dad had saved all those years. To this day my dad has no idea that I pawned and lost my first rifle for almost 20 yrs. I will pass it down to my oldest grandson someday.

yep, and it is the one I shoot the most. ruger 10/22 from wal-mart black synthetic with stainless.
I have modded it now...it has a hogue stock, custom stainless barrel, threaded and a silencer[Pepsi]

I would guess it has around 30,000 rounds through it. only replaced the extractor is it other than my upgrades and I still have the original parts.

I also bought the exact same gun last year brand new in box and it will stay that way until i am able to pass it on to my son (as long as I have a son) or daughter (have another one for her).

first pistol was a Ruger MKII heavy barrel in SS. still have that one, never did a thing to it and it shoots amazing still.

first large handgun was a ruger P90 .45. still have it too!

first rifle was a remington 700 adl in .243...still have it, taken many animals with it.

of course, now they are all lost at the bottom of a lake, very sad[NoEvil]

The first gun I was ever given is a Ruger 10-22 Carbine. 37 years later I still have and shoot it.

The first gun I bought was a 1939 S/42 P.08. I learned a lot about collecting from that gun and it's long gone. Hundreds more C&R guns have migrated through my collection since then.

The first New New gun I bought was a Sig Sauer P226. 22 years later I still have and shoot it.

First gun I was given was an old Rem 870 from the 1960's I believe. Trap model in amazing condition. Still have it, still use it and will keep it forever. Can't hit birds with it, but hard to miss with it on the trap range.

First gun I bought was a Kimber Ultra Carry II. Still have it, carry it everyday and will give it to my kid when I die.

My first gun was my M&P 40c. It has rusted twice, and I can't hit anything with it (it's having weak lock up issues right now), but it was my first and I probably won't ever sell it. The second gun I ever bought I got from someone on here.

My first gun was a JC Higgins .22, bought it myself at 14 from Sears. Then I bought a JC Higgins bolt action 12 gauge. Then a Ruger Single Six, Remington 700 ADL .270, and a Llama 1911 in .38 super. In 1977 I was robbed and all of them were stolen.

A couple of years later the Englewood PD recovered and returned my Ruger, it was pawned by the son of a Denver cop. Several years after that a convicted felon was picked up packing my Llama and I got it back. Never saw any of the rifles again.
