Me and my wife are gonna start trying to buy a house again after 10 years of bad luck! We called realtor about a house, he referred us to Wells Fargo (gave us a guys number) to see how bad our credit was. They said they couldnt qualify us because of a $2100 judgement from 2004. Ok we had a Bankruptcy around that time so I just pulled all 3 credit reports (what a PITA!). I dont see any judgements, I also dont see anything for around that amount? How do you find this shit, and how do you fix it? There is a few problems I need to fix due to layoffs etc. I hear about scams all the time so I need to find someone who can help who wont take me for a ride.
Any suggestions?
call the wells fargo guy back and get info on the judgment. if you had a bankruptcy that should have been included.

Mortgage credit report is more complete than your typical 'free credit report' available out there. PM me or call me if you need a copy.
BTW.. don't go through retail mortgage like wellsfargo, chase etc. They are more stricter than wholesale mortgage guideline.

PM sent! I figured that, I just have no way of getting a better report so I was hoping I could at least find out about the judgement?

PS. there is no such thing as 'credit repair.' There are only credit manipulation. In fact, I owe BigBear some explanation from the other thread... Sorry bear - I have been real busy.
they probly know that if they let you buy a house that you will try to trade it for guns hahahahaha

What could I get for a 3 bed 3 bath?
keep in mind every time you want a second or third opinion, if they run your credit it lowers your score, first time = no change, second time = small change, etc, etc.
im now in limbo trying to raise mine 3 frickin points.
Good luck and have fun shoppin.

I was always taught and told that the first time lowers your score but you can have a many checks as you want in a certain time period with no point deductions.

Score won't drop if mortgage companies pull them.
3 point should be real easy. Opt out your credit.. 5-7 days later you gain around 20-25 points.

My 3 scores came up an average of 31 points each within a week after doing the opt out!

Congrats! And the credit repair companies charge you $600 or $50/month for doing exactly what I showed you. [Beer]
What is this "opt out" y'all are referencing?

502 is tough man... It has to be local banks with portfolio loans. Forget the big guys, they wont touch it.
BEAR, basically... I was telling Travis that Step 1 in any credit repair business is...
https://www.optoutprescreen.com/
Opting out of junk mails and junk offers and blocking soft pull on your report gives you 20-25 point minimum in 5-7 days. Travis gained 31 points in no time.
There are 4-5 steps out there that you can google and do it yourself. NEVER ever pay credit repair companies. If you are applying for the house, your loan officer should be obligated to guide you on this. I have had clients from 6-8 months back that scored in the low 500s, and now ready to buy :D
