Talking out of my tail here because I’m lacking details but…”did I hear this radio ad correctly on 850 AM yesterday?"
I do not recall the “paid-by” source – missed it.

General position: Piss on the American Constitution party (i.e. Tancredo).

The ad stated something to the effect of; the AC party is against pension programs for current and future politicians, those wanting to establish a career in politics. This was conveyed in a manner and voice suggesting the AC party has “taken a wrong position” on this and that “pension programs for elected officials are necessary/good" so they may have a career in politics.

Again, did anyone else hear this? I forget the second item but it was pure BS as well.

My point, if I heard this right then that would have to be one of the stupidest advertising moves I’ve heard to-date. Anyone in their right mind thinking that an ad supporting and wanting to have pension programs for politicians is insane and that sure as hell is not going to sway my opinion of Tancredo to the negative. Not only do I NOT want pension programs for politicians, I don’t want ANYTHING to incentivize multi-term and / or career politicians. I want just the opposite to the extreme.

Get elected, do great things, get re-elected fine. Get elected, perform like the status quo [<-- S***], then get the hell out via voter rejection and no...no pension for you. Don't like it, make a different career choice or, consider this "SERVICE" for a short, productice period in your life and then go somewhere else to earn your retirement.

I must have heard this wrong, nobody is that stupid…are they?

Perhaps political office should be chosen by raffle, like jury duty.

I could not agree with you more cebeu! I thought the same thing when I heard the ad the first time. Then I heard it a couple more times. Took me a couple time to realize this wasn't a pro ad for AC but supposed to be a hit at there platform...I'd say they missed the mark on this one.

I think the ad you are refering to is the anti
Doug Aden ad.

He is running 4th District American Constitution Party.

The ad says he is against the pension for politicians (who, that knows about it, isnt?) the other point is he is for English as the Official language. They state that this will kill diversity(how?). they say he is too out of the mainstream for Colorado.

Doug is a good man. I know him personally. I will be voting for him and Tom.

+1 on this. the maes camp is trying to run tancredo down with the limited funding they have, while the looper is sitting back hiding, hoping he will not be asked any questions about anything.

Thank you for the clarity HBAR, appreciate it and I have not heard this ad run since (I presume it is still on-air). Whomever is backing this and putting this message out as some lever against any party is simply just stupid. I guess there are left-slanted constituents where this may resonate but...no...pensions for career politicians are not something I will support and I'm laughing at the thought someone believes this would be a "capture" thought to compete on.

the funny thing about this ad (to me). is they play it on the country stations. now i know the demographics of people who listen to country music has changed (because it aint country) but I think many of them are conservative and probably agree with english as the national language, and not paying dirtbag politicians forever. if they played the commercial on a lib station I would get it. But, like you I was out in the milk barn, milking, when I heard the ad the first time, I took it more as a promotion than an anti ad.

i didnt mean to imply you were out in the milk barn when you heard the ad.
