Check out this awesome thread where someone puts an above ground pool in his basement. There are pictures of people actually in the pool at the bottom of the thread. All the other pictures are great too.

Boo, blocked.... Is this the blowup pool in the basement sitting next to an overloaded eletrical generator and a light/fan hanging right over it by bare wires?

Nothing says "College Student" like this. Although the pic of the guy using flip flops as powerstrip floats was Darwin Nominee material if I ever saw it![Shock][Eek3]

Aw, I was all prepared to discuss how to heat a pool...

That is some true redneck engineering .

My cousin filled his above ground pool with heated water this summer. He has one of those on demand water heaters, so even though it took him 3 days to fill it, it was all hot water.

That must have cost him a shiney dime.

That type of pool is extremely fragile. Hope he enjoyed his flooding and black mold.

Naw man, true redneck engineering involves lining the bed of a pickup with plastic and then filling it up, while still keeping the beer cold.

I saw a story a while ago about urban pools, where people would just rent a roll out dumpster, throw a plastic liner in it, and fill it with water.

LOL. This was my favorite post from that thread.

"You have a pool in your god drat basement and all you can find is one girl?"

I was thinking the same thing.

I think the hose is going down his shorts. So, he doesn't have to get out of the pool to go p-p.

Naw man, true redneck engineering involves lining the bed of a pickup with plastic and then filling it up and using rubber hose from the exhaust to the pool for jets while yer buddy revs the motor, while still keeping the beer cold.
