I recently traded for an HK USP 40 varient 9. This varient allows for "Cocked & Locked" condition for carrying and is basically just like how you SHOULD carry a 1911. The pistol is a SA/DA and my question is the following

Can I carry with a round chambered, hammer down and no safety engaged so all I have to do is pull trigger in DA mode to fire or could there be an accidental discharge if I bump hammer hard enough etc?

Thanks
GM2

PS....I think the rest of my polymer pistols will all be HKs.....except the Glock 20 I want pretty bad.

Theres an FP block which only disengages when the trigger is pulled. You'll be gtg.

To be certain if you field strip the gun, and on the underneath of the slide you should see a block that has spring tension a little rearward of the trigger and on the frame there should be a bar to disengage this when the trigger is pulled.
