View Full Version : Ordinance 300 Ballot Initiative - WTF?!?!?!
Seriously, we have a ballot initiative in Denver for setting up a commission to greet and work with extra terrestrial beings from another world (and their vehicle) - I'm not kidding, this is really on the ballot to have tax dollars fund this "commission".
Has this city completed flipped it's lid?
I read recently that the UN has a commission like this and are looking to appoint someone to be the "Worlds Spokesperson" in case E.T. lands here.
Why legalize pot, everyone in government is high anyway!!!!

I know a guy who used to be pretty involved with MUFON. His attitude was "show me the proof." Most of the stuff he saw was faked, turns out the MUFON folks weren't that interested in rigorous examination of phony evidence so he got booted out.[Whacko]

While I think it'd be exceptionally arrogant to assume that Earth is the sole source of sentient beings in the universe, I also don't think we're getting visits by beings from other planets.
This ballot initiative is just another example of people thinking that we need to spend our money on beings outside of our geopolitical domains. If we'd quit senting money to other nations because of their "need" and use it for our own needs we'd be in a far better place.
Just my $0.02.

Well sure. I can't imagine putting a bill through that would be privately funded. Then they'd just do it right?

They come down in their little spaceships and wave their little plasma blasters and photon torpedoes around like they are the kings of the universe and you just KNOW they are making up for the ass-whoopin' they get from the bigger green aliens a few hundred thousand light years away. Click on my photo if you need proof. Currently, Denver has some 80 other boards and commissions which are volunteer run and are funded without taxpayer dollars.

I was paraphrasing what I read earlier in the day, I didn't lie. You make it sound like I made it up for the sake of making up. Before you start throwing accusations like that around, perhaps you consider if it was a mis-quote or a lie and get YOUR DAMN FACTS STRAIGHT. My only question, once up and running, how many times a day someone will walk in and say; "Take me to your leader".
Say if these Space Aliens arrive here on Earth, and we greet them with peaceful overtures. But then try to expel them, for not having legal citizen documentation papers. Where do you send them back to? Mexico?
That's why we need the funding as a means of proper protocol, so we don't have a bunch of lynch mob's hanging over there neck's!
