View Full Version : Possible Magpul Dynamics class at Colorado Rifle Club

Hi, I am exploring the possibility of hosting Magpul at the Colorado Rifle Club in Byers, which is exceptionally good for Magpul classes as CRC has a new action pistol range with 12 bays to 50 yards constructed for the Cowboy Action Shooters -- the Sand Creek Raiders, and a lot of long distance rifle ranges. Since the action range is so new and has not been promoted, most shooters don't know it exists.

It would be useful for me to know if some folks here are interested in attending if Carbine 1 or Pistol 1 were offered. No dates are set yet, this is a general inquiry so the CRC can evaluate the concept and interest.

You can of course post a response here or email me @ jww@viawest.net.

Happy trails!

How are you associated with the club? As their existing rules would not seem to accommodate such a course on the Cowboy action range as I read them last. I know one person on the Board and he constantly complains about the decisions made out there by the board as a whole.

I would come to both and I can probably round up two others that would go. Is there anyway to get on a wait list to get notified if it happens so I can actually get into the class.

Thanks, Jason

Let me answer the question posed about CRC. It was a big step for the CRC board to accept the Sand Creek Raiders cowboy action club as part of the CRC programs. I think they were surprised by SCR's very active role and the turnout for matches. Then they built SCR a 12 bay action shooting range for our sport, at which SCR uses 6 most months except for our annual shootout.

The president of CRC has expressed interest in considering allowing Magpul to run a class(es). So he is going to talk with the BOD about it. Just that alone is a big step forward for CRC to become an action friendly club. What better way to start than some Magpul classes?

This is a great range for our AR addition, and I hope it comes to pass. I will let all you folks know how it turns out as soon as I know. Also, I will do my best to keep this affordable.

Happy trails!

Shoot at night? That was one thing lacking from the Magpul Classes in Pueblo due to county restrictions.

Magpul's classes follow the industry standard of 2 - 250 dollars a day for training and there prices are listed with the course descriptions on the website .

If CRC approves the concept, then I expect Magpul and CRC will discuss the possibilities. The CRC range would be a very good place for a night shoot as the neighbors are few and far away.

I will get back to you all as soon as CRC gives me a response to my suggestion.

Happy Trails!

We are not easily discouraged, and if we find another trainer worth the effort to bring in, that could happen. Nice thing about Magpul Dynamics is they are local.

I would love to attend the Dynamic Hangun Course if Magpul were able to host. Everyone who is concerned about the cost, you need to go to Magpul's website and check out the price. They aren't cheap, but well worth it. [Luck]
