Im switching to channel 4 News instead of 9 News.

9news is just way over the top. Adding way to much stuff to be hip I guess and not reporting very well late
y.
Anyone else going to join me?

I laugh when whatever news station the fiance watches plays some popular song to a picture at every commercial break.

What's local news?

I can't stand that ambulance chaser crap. I get my news online.

Channel 4... channel 9??

Sorry those channels don't work on my tv. Not everybody lives in the Denver area... or would ever wish to.

I agree, online and you can get unbiased news.

They all suck. Since I complain about about the technical inaccuracies of the broadcasts, my wife said to let them know. So I decided to keep track and make notes for a week. That lasted 2 1/2 days. Averaged 5-7 technical inaccuracies per channel per broadcast. It is so bad that it cannot be honest mistakes or incompetence.

I cut my TV watching to 20 minutes a day. 10 minutes morning and evening for weather forecasts(which I recheck on the internet anyway). Get the news from several sources on the net.

I honestly believe TV will make your intelligence level go down. There is some decent informative programming to be had on some of the networks available on sat/cable, but network broadcast TV(all we have till next month) will make you stupid if you get too much exposure. Kinda like exposure to radiation will kill you.

Amen to that!
My wife likes to watch "Jersey Shore" and "16 and Pregnant" and other garbage like that. I swear I walk by the TV and I hear brain cells being sucked out of my skull.
I am convinced that "Reality TV" is dumbing down America.

I love my wife dearly but her taste in TV shows is questionable (I guess I should not complain-her taste in men is questionable as well [Tooth])

Thing that gets me is when people start believing political ads.
As if Ken Buck has the Power to single-handedly outlaw abortion and birth control. When I try to explain that anyone could do these things as porivate citizens with Ballot initiatives I get arguments that way too..

political ads, the new "reality TV?"

I can't take any of the local news right now with all the damn political ads. 5 min worth, every 5 min. They are cramming them in with such frequency. Really annoying, all the lies and misquotes.

And then if you watch channel 2, that Chris Parente guy has a homosexual agenda. He needs to just get it over with and announce it publicly. His report on Ken Buck's interview on Face the Nation was sad. I thought he was going to cry.

I do not really like any of the other news, I watch "The Deuce" in the AM..That is it.

Anyone remember the good old radio days ? Music was the agenda. [Beer]

I honestly believe TV will make your intelligence level go down.

That's actually true. There is a wealth of data that pretty much proves this. You can't get 100% solid proof because you would have to study hundreds of families over decades which is impossible. I spent about two weeks in a class once looking at how TV watching really does hurt society and quite literally dumbs people down.

If you are interested in it read a book called Bowling Alone by a guy named Putnam. It's ridiculously interesting if you can get through it being a rather boring read. I know that doesn't make sense but after you read it you'll understand.

I can't stand Crissy Parente. I don't care if they want to make a homosexual a anchor, but why does it have to be a flamer like him? Do they have a gay agenda they are pushing or something?

TV? What's that?

I'll download a movie and watch it on my laptop every so often while on the road and check news online... that's about it.

Just another part of the liberal collectivist pc agenda, make a small percentage of deviant behavior look mainstream and "normal". A couple of the stations appear to have a token "fairy".

Which channel has the ridiculously annoying flamer as the entertainment person? That's the channel I used to watch.

I watch whatever channel news, but I always remember that ALL news is biased. These channels or news programs sell advertising time. If they pissed off everyone, they wouldn't have any money to operate.

And alot of it is for "shock and awe" value. Its always one-sided. The side that brings public reaction.

And where are the follow ups? Someone gets arrested for something but is later released, you never hear that part. Just the fact that someone was picked up...

Way back in the day before there was T.V. Newspapers were the form for communicating "news". Just as they are today, they were biased then depending on the point of view of the owner or Senior Editor. T.V. News is no different...

I wonder if they knew the irony in calling the shittiest channel on TV "The Deuce" when they picked the name.

Mine likes the little girl pagaent show(s?), all the Top Model type shows, and anything similar. And she wonders why I stay down in my man-cave while that stuff is on!

Interestingly, she likes to complain that all I watch is History Channel, Discover channel, VS, Speed, and similar stuff.

I think I'm going to put Strange Brew on here about noon, and drink a beer, eh?

My first thought is that irony is probably lost on them...
