Anyone on the wonderful board know of a good or decent pawn shop I could take my Snap On roll cab toolbox to eithe r pawn or sell?

Mainly looking for a referal to a good guy that will give me close to what Iam asking for.

Gabe, you have to face the fact that you will be raped at a pawn shop; their in the business to make money. You might get 1/3 of the value. Hell, put it for sale here, or on Craigslist; you'll make more money than at any pawn shop.

^^ I know some good folks that own a pawn shop in Lakewood, they know construction too, as that is their primary business, but they are also cheapskates and probably wouldn't pay anything decent for it like birddog1911 said.

If you need their info, let me know. They are a new shop and aren't listed on the web yet, I'll have to get a number or give you directions to the shop.

Contact a snap on dealer, one of them has to have a customer looking for one and can easily broker a deal for you. Unfortunately, you'll never get what you want out of a nice KRL. PM me and I can line you up with my dealer, worst he could say is no. I'd be shocked if you can find a pawn shop that'll give you a grand on it.

The box has been on this site arfcom and craigslist for the last few months. I have had maybe 2 interested. One is trying to get money together and one offered me 500 for it. Im listing it on here now for $1500 and nothing yet. That is a 5th of what I paid for it. Pawn shop I know will rape me but even selling it outright Im gonna get raped.

Unless someone can loan me some cash and my toolbox and Sig556 as collateral for a 150 day period to pay them back....im gonna get raped no matter what.

I appreciate the reply and am interetsed in all that you guys can help with.
I am gonna call my snap on raper tomorrow see if he can find a buyer for me.

the ONLY reason you take it to a pawn shop is if you have every intention of getting is back ASAP

I personally find something fundamentally wrong with extorting the kind of Prices they do for stuff(Maybe 1/4 value) and then reselling the same thing for almost the new price.
I realize they need to make money on it but daaaaamn

Boy, I feel for you... That's a big ticket item that has a very specific target audience. First I would contact some freight companies and find out pricing for it to several cities across the country so you can quote approximate shipping costs. Then I would post it on eBay and other specific forums that are related to automotive and fabrication guys so it gets good coverage. You can also post it on Craig's List all around the country. It'll take some time but you can get a lot of exposure that way. If you have the ability I would make a website for it and then link the ads to your website so you can list an ass load of photos and info about it.

I think the economy is really killing big ticket items like this, when you can go to CostCo and get a descent tool box for about $1000. It may be a while before this kind of thing turns around, unless the government starts offering incentives on SnapOn Products.....

Me First...
Greystar Property Mgt. wants an additional 2 Months Rent as a deposit because the wife, Being a new Legal Immigrant a using her own SSN, has no credit hsitory.

I Told her she should have come here illegally and used "Mrs Smiths" SSN then we'd have no problem
